Commercial use of Image:FormulaPWI.jpg
editHello, this is a message from an automated bot. A tag has been placed on Image:FormulaPWI.jpg, by another Wikipedia user, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. The tag claims that it should be speedily deleted because Image:FormulaPWI.jpg has a copyright license type implying some type of restricted use, such as for non-commercial use only, or for educational use only or for use on Wikipedia by permission, which was either uploaded on or after 2005-05-19 or is not used in any articles (CSD I3). While it might seem reasonable to assume that such files can be freely used on Wikipedia, this is in fact not the case[1][2]. Please do not upload any more files with these restrictions on them, because content on Wikipedia needs to be compatible with the GNU Free Documentation License, which allows anyone to use it for any purpose, commercial or non-commercial. See our non-free content guidelines for more more information.
If you created this media file and want to use it on Wikipedia, you may re-upload it (or amend the image description if it has not yet been deleted) and use the license {{GFDL-self}} to license it under the GFDL, or {{cc-by-sa-2.5}} to license it under the Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike license, or use {{PD-self}} to release it into the public domain.
If you did not create this media file but want to use it on Wikipedia, there are two ways to proceed. First, you may choose one of the fair use tags from this list if you believe one of those fair use rationales applies to this file. Second, you may want to contact the copyright holder and request that they make the media available under a free license.
If the article has already been deleted, see the advice and instructions at WP:WMD. This bot is only informing you of the nomination for speedy deletion, it did not nominate Image:FormulaPWI.jpg itself. Feel free to leave a message on the bot operator's talk page if you have any questions about this or any problems with this bot. If you have any questions about what to do next or why your image was nominated for speedy deletion please ask at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. This is the last warning you will receive for your disruptive edits.
The next time you create an inappropriate page, such as Carbon Footprint Consumer Index, you will be blocked from editing Wikipedia. — Coren (talk) 02:18, 29 October 2007 (UTC)
- As a rule, in order to add an article about an organization, it must follow the notability guidelines. Pay special attention to the need for reliable sources that are independent from the subject. Links to the organization's web site, for instance, are not sufficient. — Coren (talk) 02:29, 29 October 2007 (UTC)
{{hang-on}}
A tag has been placed on Carbon Footprint Consumer Index, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done because it is an article about a certain website, blog, forum, or other web content that does not assert the importance or significance of that web location. Please read our criteria for speedy deletion, particularly item 7 under Articles, as well as notability guidelines for websites. Please note that articles must be on notable subjects and should provide references to reliable sources which verify their content.
Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself. To contest the tagging and request that administrators wait a while for you to add contextual material, please affix the template {{hangon}}
to the page, and put a note on Talk:Carbon Footprint Consumer Index. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. Thanks. Beoleary 02:31, 29 October 2007 (UTC)
I want to add a definition of Carbon Footprint Consumer Index. This is not a commercial interest. I eliminated the offending link to my webpage. I don't understand why it is still being deleted?
- If it has not been written about by reliable third party sources, it does not belong in Wikipedia. — OcatecirT 02:33, 29 October 2007 (UTC)
- If there is a page which you want to stop from being speedily deleted, you should put the {{hangon}} tag on that page -- not here. If you put the {{hangon}} tag on this page, it will look as though your user talk page is up for speedy deletion. I have changed the tag on this page to a reference to the tag accordingly. --Metropolitan90 02:38, 29 October 2007 (UTC)
