Guerilla

Hi there!

I think there is no point in creating separate "Guerilla in the past" section in guerilla, especially if it deals with quite late example of guerilla warfare (and claim that it laid foundations for guerilla warfare! Huh! And all those earlier guerillas are ignored? . You could just move it to separate article and include link in proper section of the article. I will do it myself in few days, but I think you would be better man to do the job.Szopen 08:05, 25 July 2005 (UTC)

Ok, removed that reference and moved one sentence about it to Introduction. There is no use of commiting whole section to the one of hundreds of other examples of early guerilla tactics (and call him FUNDAMENTAL. Duh!) Szopen 08:47, 2 August 2005 (UTC)

Late Replies

Sorry about the "really" late response. Perhaps in terms of chronology he wasn't the earliest nor the precursor to the technique in asymmetric warfare. On "fundamentalism", it was a strange situation with conquering moghuls, imposing islam on a predominantly Hindu (as if there is a religion by that name) state; there was bound to be a response, and a way of getting people to his cause of 'independence/freedom' which is today taken up by modern religious fundamentalists. I am no authority to say whether he had fundamentalist ideas, but the large part of his actions do not seem to prove it. I'll have to pull in reference books on his history that are neutral (and that's a bit difficult to come by.)

Thank you, I just got that and formatted the reference. I have read a hardbound book which has exact dates of founding of the schools here in Thanjavur. Web references/citations can be weak.
