Welcome

edit

Hello, Bgamall, and welcome to Wikipedia. Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. If you are stuck, and looking for help, please come to the Wikipedia Boot Camp, where experienced Wikipedians can answer any queries you have! Or, you can just type {{helpme}} on your user page, and someone will show up shortly to answer your questions. Here are a few good links for newcomers:

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! By the way, you can sign your name on Talk and vote pages using three tildes, like this: ~~~. Four tildes (~~~~) produces your name and the current date. If you have any questions, see the help pages, add a question to the village pump or ask me on my talk page. Again, welcome!--Dakota ~ ° 03:47, 13 March 2006 (UTC)Reply

Please do not add commercial links (or links to your own private websites) to Wikipedia. Wikipedia is not a vehicle for advertising or a mere collection of external links. You are, however, encouraged to add content instead of links to the encyclopedia as we drive for print or DVD publication; see the welcome page to learn more. Thanks. -- KHM03 (talk) 11:18, 13 March 2006 (UTC)Reply

I strongly encourage you to focus on adding content to articles and not simply links, which can easily be considered spam. Thanks...KHM03 (talk) 11:23, 13 March 2006 (UTC)Reply
Thanks for your kind words and for your willingness to follow Wikipedia policy. Regarding free will and grace...thanks, but you do things your way, and I'll do things God's way. He's a bit more authoritative! KHM03 (talk) 22:06, 13 March 2006 (UTC)Reply

Good faith

edit

Please see User_talk:Flex#Good faith. (PS, please put comments on talk pages, not on user pages.) --Flex (talk/contribs) 21:32, 8 May 2007 (UTC)   Please do not add inappropriate external links to Wikipedia, as you did to User:Bgamall. Wikipedia is not a collection of links, nor should it be used for advertising or promotion. Inappropriate links include (but are not limited to) links to personal web sites, links to web sites with which you are affiliated, and links that attract visitors to a web site or promote a product. See the external links guideline and spam guideline for further explanations. Since Wikipedia uses the nofollow attribute value, its external links are disregarded by some search engines, including Google. If you feel the link should be added to the article, please discuss it on the article's talk page rather than re-adding it. Thank you. Calton | Talk 12:48, 2 August 2009 (UTC)Reply

Please stop using talk pages such as Talk:New World Order (conspiracy theory) for general discussion of the topic. They are for discussion related to improving the article; not for use as a forum or chat room. If you have specific questions about certain topics, consider visiting our reference desk and asking them there instead of on article talk pages. See here for more information. Thank you. You have been blocked indefinitely from editing because it appears that you are not here to build an encyclopedia. If you think there are good reasons why you should be unblocked, you may appeal this block by first reading the guide to appealing blocks, then adding the following text below this notice: {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}.  Huon (talk) 15:46, 10 October 2015 (UTC)Reply
