Hello and welcome to Wikipedia. Constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, but a recent edit of yours to the page INSAT-1B has an edit summary that appears to be inadequate, inaccurate, or inappropriate. The summaries are helpful to people browsing an article's history, so it is important that you use edit summaries that accurately tell other editors what you did. Feel free to use the sandbox to make test edits. Typo hardly seems an appropriate edit summary for the inclusion of two images. Peaceray (talk) 14:16, 18 September 2023 (UTC)Reply

Hello Bhanavnamboodiri! Your additions to List of ISRO missions have been removed in whole or in part, as they appear to have added copyrighted content without evidence that the source material is in the public domain or has been released by its owner or legal agent under a suitably free and compatible copyright license. (To request such a release, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission.) While we appreciate your contributions to Wikipedia, there are certain things you must keep in mind about using information from sources to avoid copyright and plagiarism issues.

  • You can only copy/translate a small amount of a source, and you must mark what you take as a direct quotation with double quotation marks (") and cite the source using an inline citation. You can read about this at Wikipedia:Non-free content in the sections on "text". See also Help:Referencing for beginners, for how to cite sources here.
  • Aside from limited quotation, you must put all information in your own words and structure, in proper paraphrase. Following the source's words too closely can create copyright problems, so it is not permitted here; see Wikipedia:Close paraphrasing. Even when using your own words, you are still, however, asked to cite your sources to verify the information and to demonstrate that the content is not original research.
  • We have strict guidelines on the usage of copyrighted images. Fair use images must meet all ten of the non-free content criteria in order to be used in articles, or they will be deleted. To be used on Wikipedia, all other images must be made available under a free and open copyright license that allows commercial and derivative reuse.
  • If you own the copyright to the source you want to copy or are a legally designated agent, you may be able to license that text so that we can publish it here. Understand, though, that unlike many other sites, where a person can license their content for use there and retain non-free ownership, that is not possible at Wikipedia. Rather, the release of content must be irrevocable, to the world, into either the public domain (PD) or under a suitably free and compatible copyright license. Please see Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials.
  • Also note that Wikipedia articles may not be copied or translated without attribution. If you want to copy or translate from another Wikipedia project or article, you must follow the copyright attribution steps described at Wikipedia:Copying within Wikipedia. See also Help:Translation#License requirements.

It's very important that contributors understand and follow these practices, as policy requires that people who persistently do not must be blocked from editing. If you have any questions about this, please ask them here on this page, or leave a message on my talk page. Thank you. — Diannaa (talk) 15:34, 8 October 2023 (UTC)Reply

CS1 error on X-ray Polarimeter Satellite

edit

Hello, I'm Qwerfjkl (bot). I have automatically detected that this edit performed by you, on the page X-ray Polarimeter Satellite, may have introduced referencing errors. They are as follows:

  • A "bare URL and missing title" error. References show this error when they do not have a title. Please edit the article to add the appropriate title parameter to the reference. (Fix | Ask for help)

Please check this page and fix the errors highlighted. If you think this is a false positive, you can report it to my operator. Thanks, Qwerfjkl (bot) (talk) 04:27, 12 October 2023 (UTC)Reply

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Mars Orbiter Mission 2, you added links pointing to the disambiguation pages Deimos and Phobos. Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

It's OK to remove this message. Also, to stop receiving these messages, follow these opt-out instructions. Thanks, DPL bot (talk) 06:02, 15 October 2023 (UTC)Reply

It may also be necessary for the text to be modified to have an encyclopedic tone and to follow Wikipedia article layout. For more information on Wikipedia's policies, see Wikipedia's policies and guidelines.

Really sorry for that. I got the information from that site itself but the words were my own. I will rewrite the entire page as soon as possible.
Thank you very much. Bhanavnamboodiri (talk) 16:00, 9 November 2023 (UTC)Reply

Proposed deletion of Quantum light dimmer

edit

The article Quantum light dimmer has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Fails WP:GNG. No coverage in WP:RS found.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. — Moriwen (talk) 13:34, 27 February 2024 (UTC)Reply

Ways to improve Quantum light dimmer

edit

Hello, Bhanavnamboodiri,

Thank you for creating Quantum light dimmer.

I have tagged the page as having some issues to fix, as a part of our page curation process and note that:

Please add some general references. Just YouTube references are not enough, they are not considered reliable. Note that I opposed the PROD to give you time to improve the article. If you don't it will almost certainly be deleted.

The tags can be removed by you or another editor once the issues they mention are addressed. If you have questions, leave a comment here and begin it with {{Re|Ldm1954}}. Remember to sign your reply with ~~~~. For broader editing help, please visit the Teahouse.

Hi there! Thanks for reading my page and suggesting improvements! The reason I created this page is because this experiment is a hot topic because it's being mentioned in a lot of international physics Olympiads, and Indian national Olympiads this year. There isn't any page that gives accurate information on this topic. That's why I created this page. I will work towards finding and adding more references regarding this topic.
