Hello, Bheffernon99, and welcome to Wikipedia! My name is Ian and I work with Wiki Education; I help support students who are editing as part of a class assignment.

I hope you enjoy editing here. If you haven't already done so, please check out the student training library, which introduces you to editing and Wikipedia's core principles. You may also want to check out the Teahouse, a community of Wikipedia editors dedicated to helping new users. Below are some resources to help you get started editing.

page move

edit

Hi, I noticed that your article on George Beard was in the "Wikipedia" namespace. Usually this space is for things like essays about Wikipedia. I believe this was a mistake, so I moved it to the main article namespace. You can now see it at George Beard (Artist). Please let me know if I moved it in error. George Beard (artist) moved to draftspace

edit

An article you recently created, George Beard (artist), is not suitable as written to remain published. It needs more in-depth coverage about the subject itself, with citations from reliable, independent sources in order to show it meets WP:GNG. It should have at least three, to be safe. And please remember that interviews, as primary sources, do not count towards GNG.(?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page.Onel5969 TT me 11:15, 29 April 2023 (UTC)Reply

I'm the one who found this page in the Wikipedia space and then moved it to the article space. I'm not sure if Bheffernon99 is actively editing, but since the BYU Library has the George Beard collection, we're interested in improving his Wikipedia article. I've assigned one of my student Wikipedia editors to start improving it this month. Rachel Helps (BYU) (talk) 17:21, 1 May 2023 (UTC)Reply
