Of course all the above is mere boilerplate. But below it isn't.
If you're Bill Owens, hello from an admirer. I have Suburbia and your howto book (though unfortunately I've mislaid both), so you've even got a few cents' royalty from me (a very few cents, I fear). If you're contributing on behalf of Bill Owens, well do pass on the message. Either way, do please stick around, but also please ensure that the article on Bill Owens is written as objectively as that on any other photographer. (Good articles on recent or living photographers are unfortunately very few indeed, but try Roman Vishniac and Hiroh Kikai.) -- Hoary 04:11, 19 January 2007 (UTC)
Deletion of the glossary that you added to the Distillation article
editBill Owens, the glossary that you added to the Distillation article has been deleted twice because it adds no real technical content to a technical article on distillation. I greatly respect the fact that you are the winner of two Guggenheim awards for photography ... but that doesn't make you an expert on distillation nor does it make you knowledgeable about how the Wikipedia works.
If you wish to add an "External link" (in the distillation article) to that glossary, then that would be acceptable as long as it isn't just advertising spam for Alan S. Dikty, International Beverage Technologies, LLC.
Your addition of the glossary into the distillation article has been deleted once by me and once by User:Beetstra. If you persist in adding it back again, it may well lead to your being blocked from using Wikipedia ... so please desist. - mbeychok 23:34, 18 January 2007 (UTC)
