Your writing style

If you're going to continue to write about obscure TV sitcoms could you please learn some of the basic rules about writing articles for Wikipedia. You keep putting the birth and death dates for actors in parentheses after their names which is not a standard format. You keep describing plots for various episodes even though they're insignificant and not encyclopedic. If Meryl Streep made her TV debut in one of them, that's worth mentioning, but to say, "In "Bill's Baby", Hastings and Riley confront a foundling abandoned on Bill's doorstep" as you did in Dear Phoebe sounds like you're just trying to stretch the article as much as possible. I admire your desire to expand TV coverage in Wikipedia and I encourage you to continue, but please do it right. LargoLarry (talk) 17:50, 27 September 2009 (UTC)

The reason I give year of birth and death for some actors is that the reader will wonder if the actor is living or want to know when he died and might not want to switch to the link to find out, as that would be a distraction. I have a couple of more old TV shows in mind, but there is not that much material available for them.Billy Hathorn (talk) 21:32, 27 September 2009 (UTC)

Speedy deletion nomination of File:Downtown Kerrville, TX Picture 077.jpg

A tag has been placed on File:Downtown Kerrville, TX Picture 077.jpg requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section F1 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the image is an unused redundant copy (all pixels the same or scaled down) of an image in the same file format, which is on Wikipedia (not on Commons), and all inward links have been updated.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. --Rrburke(talk) 17:10, 2 October 2009 (UTC)

I may be misunderstanding the hook. I see that Long ran as a Republican, but I thought that the key to the hook was that Long was the first member of his family to do so. And I don't see a reference for the fact that he was the first. Rlendog (talk) 18:30, 4 October 2009 (UTC)

File Copyright problem

Thank you for uploading File:Jesus_washing_disciple's_feet_sculpture_in_Beeville,_TX_IMG_0986.JPG. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright status. If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their license and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link.

If you have any questions, please feel free to ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thanks again for your cooperation. Chris G Bot (talk) 00:10, 5 October 2009 (UTC)

Campbellsville, KY edits

was it you or that Willp12 character that section cleared Campbellsvillians of note?

there's also been a bit added about cruising; any idea where that came from?

no accusations, just wanting to make sure the edits (semi-major in effect) are all on the up and up before I go ask the admins for a vandalism review. I'm a little steamed as I worked really hard on most of that plus the sourcing and poof it's all gone with no discussion.VulpineLady (talk) 05:50, 18 November 2009 (UTC)

Not I. There are some people here who think they "own" certain files.Billy Hathorn (talk) 11:32, 18 November 2009 (UTC)
P.S.: Earlier in the year, I put up some pretty good pictures of Bryan, Texas, and some "lord" of the file deleted them right away. How would one challenge such deletions?Billy Hathorn (talk) 11:34, 18 November 2009 (UTC)

kk, just making sure ;)

post something to the talk section of the page asking who and why; it may have been one of the admins. Too, check the history section; most edits will have a comment attached. therer may have been some issue with copyright or sourceing or some other finer point that could have resulted in img removal.

IF you don't see anything back (or if the "talk" is basically dead) track down one of the senior editors or and Admin and post a request for review - with a link - on their user page under discussion tab.

Good Luck! VulpineLady (talk) 14:47, 18 November 2009 (UTC)
