I fixed the copyright of Image:1kuw asym r 250.jpg, so this won't be deleted. You need to give a link to where it came from and tag it as {{PD-author}}, since this isn't actually your own work. All the best Tim Vickers (talk) 16:09, 28 October 2008 (UTC)

Curcumin talk page comment on emission spectra

I read your comment in the talk page for the Curcumin entry. You state: "Curcumin is essentially non-fluorescent (and unstable) in water. A weak broad emission can be detected at 550 nm using 420 excitation. In a non-polar environment such as a lipid membrane or after curcumin binds to serum albumin, the fluorescence is increased and blue-shifted with a 498 nm emission maximum using 420nm excitation." This is very interesting, and I have been searching through Google Scholar and Elsevier, but could not find an article which confirms this. Would you be so kind and tell me which publication/article contains that information? Is it "Effect of Solvent on the Excited-state Photophysical Properties of Curcumin"? Lipid bilayer edit

Hi, I noticed that you recently removed an illustration from the Lipid Bilayer article, stating that it was redundant. I don't entirely agree, so I was hoping you could expand your perspective on this for me. The reason I originally included the graphic is that I think it's helpful to compare the overall structure to something with which people are familiar. Since the physical processes governing the two structures are the same I think it's a useful model for the layman to have in mind. Also, for more advanced users, I think it's a comparison worth considering since the math and mechanics are virtually identical. But perhaps you disagree with this or you think that there's a better, clearer way of expressing these ideas? Or maybe you think the graphic itself should be altered in some way? Thanks for uploading File:Abeta vivek png.png. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, then you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, then a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a restatement of that website's terms of use of its content, is usually sufficient information. However, if the copyright holder is different from the website's publisher, then their copyright should also be acknowledged.

As well as adding the source, please add a proper copyright licensing tag if the file doesn't have one already. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then the {{GFDL-self}} tag can be used to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Fair use, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.
