I think it's pretty obviously a joke. "Birb" is a meme/joke version of "bird", used similarly to "doggo". Beeblebrox (talk) 19:39, 3 November 2019 (UTC)

Hi there! I picked this username a while ago as a parody of all those "X_ebooks" accounts on twitter (horse_ebooks being the biggest example), it's never represented any company or organization that I'm aware of. If it's too questionable I'd be happy to make a change request, tbh I was thinking about doing that anyway simply because I don't use this name anymore. Hello yourself. You may change it if you wish to, but as long as we have your assurance that this isn't referring to any real company, you may keep it with no problem. A user reported it as a possible problem name, and one of my tasks as an admin is to check out such reports. I don't follow twiter much, so I was unaware od this trend there. • @TheSandDoctor: I'm curious as to why this block was placed at all when two admins, myself and DESiegel, were basically in agreement that it was not a violation as there is no such organization. Hello Beeblebrox and Peribirb, a google search revealed deviant art pages and the like, which are typically used for the sale of artwork or design services in my experience. Looking further into this (which I regret not doing previously) indicates that Peribirb was not using it for the purpose. I somehow missed the prior discussion or I would not have acted on this (I was also, likewise to DES, unaware of "birb" being a joke/meme). I do apologize for the misstep and frustrations caused by this. I should have been more careful. Peribirb, I see that you may want this new name now, but if you want to be renamed to the old username I can do that for you (entirely your call). Oh! Ha, yeah that's my deviantart page, just for hobby stuff. I do understand the need for overcaution on this sort of thing, opening wikipedia up for promotional usage wouldn't be a good thing.
