Non-free rationale for File:ITVmediaPlayerlogo.png
editThanks for uploading or contributing to File:ITVmediaPlayerlogo.png. I notice the file page specifies that the file is being used under non-free content criteria, but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia is acceptable. Please go to the file description page, and edit it to include a non-free rationale.
If you have uploaded other non-free media, consider checking that you have specified the non-free rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'file' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem. If you have any questions, please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. mabdul 01:44, 26 October 2011 (UTC)
Orphaned non-free image File:ITVmediaPlayer screenshot.png
editThanks for uploading File:ITVmediaPlayer screenshot.png. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).
Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described in the criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. Skier Dude (talk) 04:34, 26 October 2011 (UTC)
COI
editHello Bismar007. We welcome your contributions to Wikipedia, but if you are affiliated with some of the people, places or things you have written about on Wikipedia, you may have a conflict of interest or close connection to the subject.
All editors are required to comply with Wikipedia's neutral point of view content policy. People who are very close to a subject often have a distorted view of it, which may cause them to inadvertently edit in ways that make the article either too flattering or too disparaging. People with a close connection to a subject are not absolutely prohibited from editing about that subject, but they need to be especially careful about following the reliable sources and writing with as little bias as possible.
If you are very close to a subject, here are some ways you can reduce the risk of problems:
- Avoid or exercise great caution when editing or creating articles related to you, your organization, or its competitors, as well as projects and products they are involved with.
- Be cautious about deletion discussions. Everyone is welcome to provide information about independent sources in deletion discussions, but avoid advocating for deletion of articles about your competitors.
- Avoid linking to the Wikipedia article or website of your organization in other articles (see Wikipedia:Spam).
- Exercise great caution so that you do not accidentally breach Wikipedia's content policies.
Please familiarize yourself with relevant content policies and guidelines, especially those pertaining to neutral point of view, verifiability of information, and autobiographies.
For information on how to contribute to Wikipedia when you have a conflict of interest, please see our frequently asked questions for organizations. Thank you. a13ean (talk) 17:02, 16 December 2011 (UTC)
Disambiguation link notification
editHi. In ITVmediaPlayer, you recently added links to the disambiguation pages PC and Mac (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.
It's OK to remove this message. Also, to stop receiving these messages, follow these opt-out instructions. Thanks, DPL bot (talk) 11:23, 17 December 2011 (UTC)
The article ITVmediaPlayer has been proposed for deletion. The proposed-deletion notice added to the article should explain why.
While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}}
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.
Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}}
will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion.
- Please do not remove proposals for deletion without explaining why you object to the deletion, either in your edit summary or on the talk page. Lmatt (talk) 23:23, 3 January 2012 (UTC)

editThanks for your upload to Wikipedia:
You provided a source, but it is difficult for other users to examine the copyright status of the image because the source is incomplete. Please consider clarifying the exact source so that the copyright status may be checked more easily. It is best to specify the exact Web page where you found the image, rather than only giving the source domain or the URL of the image file itself. Please update the image description with a URL that will be more helpful to other users in determining the copyright status.
If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source in a complete manner. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page or me at my talk page. Thank you. Message delivered by Theo's Little Bot (opt-out) 21:19, 22 April 2013 (UTC)

- I second this; page (Netflix). However, I am not adding an additional warning because I do not see any edits after the above warning was issued. You appear to be edit solely for the purpose of promoting the above website. It is likely that you have a conflict of interest (COI). Wikipedia has guidelines on how to proceed when you have a COI. I would suggest that you read the page linked and the various pages to which it links. Often, this means that you should not be directly editing pages where you have a COI. You can take a look at Template:Request edit/COIinstructions to see how to request an edit. — Makyen (talk)
Nomination of ITVmediaPlayer for deletion
editA discussion is taking place as to whether the article ITVmediaPlayer is suitable for inclusion in Wikipedia according to Wikipedia's policies and guidelines or whether it should be deleted.

The nomination will explain the policies and guidelines which are of concern. The discussion focuses on high-quality evidence and our policies and guidelines.
Users may edit the article during the discussion, including to improve the article to address concerns raised in the discussion. However, do not remove the article-for-deletion notice from the top of the article. — Rhododendrites talk | 14:41, 25 March 2014 (UTC)
- Hi, Bismar007, I just wanted to let you know I nominated this for deletion because the article seems promotional in tone and in nature. That all of your edits seem related to this product/company is also concerning for conflict of interest reasons, as others have noted here on your talk page. I hope that you will continue to edit Wikipedia, but please be sure to disclose conflicts of interests if there are any, and to be mindful that others are sensitive to it (Wikipedia is especially sensitive to edits that might be for personal gain in the last several months -- see this recent LA Times story on the subject). --— Rhododendrites talk | 14:46, 25 March 2014 (UTC)

Blocked
editBismar007, today you recreated once again the article ITVmediaPlayer, despite it having been deleted by a strong consensus discussion at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/ITVmediaPlayer. As the plethora of message above shows, you've been told many times that this material isn't appropriate for Wikipedia, and you've continually sought to reintroduce it. I've reviewed your contributions for the last several years, and it seems that your only purpose here at Wikipedia is to promote this service. Again, you've received many warnings that misusing Wikipedia in this way isn't acceptable, and that if you persist that you'll be blocked from editing. As you've again ignored that advice, I've blocked you from editing. Too much volunteer effort has been spent in attempting to show you how to use Wikipedia properly, but you don't seem interested in editing in a constructive or cooperative way. So it's time to ask you to leave. -- Finlay McWalterჷTalk 10:51, 2 April 2014 (UTC)
