Managing a conflict of interest
editHello, Blackadile. We welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with the people, places or things you have written about on the page W.F. Young, Inc., you may have a conflict of interest (COI). Editors with a conflict of interest may be unduly influenced by their connection to the topic. See the conflict of interest guideline and FAQ for organizations for more information. We ask that you:
- avoid editing or creating articles about yourself, your family, friends, colleagues, company, organization or competitors;
- propose changes on the talk pages of affected articles (you can use the {{request edit}} template);
- disclose your conflict of interest when discussing affected articles (see Wikipedia:Conflict of interest#How to disclose a COI);
- avoid linking to your organization's website in other articles (see Wikipedia:Spam#External link spamming);
- do your best to comply with Wikipedia's content policies.
In addition, you are required by the Wikimedia Foundation's terms of use to disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution which forms all or part of work for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation. See Wikipedia:Paid-contribution disclosure.
Also, editing for the purpose of advertising, publicising, or promoting anyone or anything is not permitted. Thank you. QuiteUnusual (talk) 15:51, 2 December 2021 (UTC)
Hello. I am Sean Black, a current employee of W.F. Young, Inc. and also a member of the family that owns it. I do not want to edit bias into the article, but I do want to update the facts of our company. As our products and presidents change over the years, who else could we rely on to update this page? How would they know better than an employee what is going on inside our company? Open to suggestions on who is appropriate to edit this page but also it is unfair that we have to live with false and disparaging information on the page that shows our company in a poor light.
Here is what I'm trying to update:
The "Current Presidents" have changed. Also we would like the presidents to be presented in descending order as such please:
Presidents
Jaime McKinley - 2021-present
Thierry R. Jean - 2020-2021
Adam D. Raczkowski - 2008–2019
Tyler F. Young - 1987-2008
Wilbur F. Young III - 1977-1987
Sally Young - 1957-1977
Mary Ida Young - 1928-1957
Wilbur F. Young II - 1918-1928
Wilbur Fenelon Young - 1892-1918
General Managers
J. Kenneth Alexander - 1956-1983
Henry Caswell - 1919-1956
Someone spelled "liniment" wrong (linament) in the first paragraph.
There is a fact box on the far right of the page that is sorely outdated. Here is how it should read please:
Type Privately held Industry Animal Health Products Founded 1892[1] Founder Wilbur Fenelon Young; current CEO, Tyler Young; President, Jaime McKinley Headquarters East Longmeadow, Massachusetts, United States Products Veterinary Liniments Wound Care Horse Grooming Supplies Horse Fly Control Horse & Pet Supplements Website WFYoung.com
Thank you! - Sean
