Changing Signature

I'm guessing you want to change your signature. To be honest with you, its best to click 'edit this page' on talk pages and have a look to see how everyone else edits their signature 1st because theres so many different things you can do to it (by going onto edit this page it will show the signature in the format they wrote it rather than after its been wikified and how you see it displayed). When you've done this, go to the top right of the screen and press My preferences then the subheading user profile which should already be up. In the signature box on this page type your new signature in wiki format (as I've shown you mine above) and make sure you click the box 'Raw signature' directly underneath. Then click save. It will only allow you to click save if it is in the right format. The signature itself should have a link to your talk page and some peoples link to their contribs as well. Then when you type the 4 tidles ~~~~ it will autimatically insert your new signature.

Have a look at advanced editing, its simply a table with all the different effects you can get whilst editing, i really good.
