Yeah, but even that is unsourced, and appears to be edited by the same vandals who insist on putting fanfictional cruft "detailing" the supposed fates of certain characters, even though it isn't explicitly stated in the games or in their respective manuals. Basically the thing here is if it isn't there in the game or related literature, it may not be true. Even if we ask Vavra himself on Twitter about the characters that would still count as original research. Blake Gripling (talk) 03:34, 1 March 2014 (UTC)

NTDEC

  • Keep: The company is rather famous and notable in that, along with many (like Bit Corporation or Thin Chen Enterprise), made at that time the history of the gaming industry in Taiwan. NTDEC is still active today but under the new name of Asder, also no longer working in that sector. Luigi1090 (talk) 13:38, 25 March 2014 (UTC)
  • Keep and Comment: I had searched and controlled all over the web the information about the company (in all languages): they are there but the only real problem is its activity during the "early" '80s, and I refer to those after NTDEC (now Asder) was founded, since they started making games and making piracy in 1988/1989. Hi! Seems to me you kicked out the DSDS functionality as of https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Dual_SIM&oldid=605949464#Dual_SIM_Dual_Standby_.28DSDS.29 during your edits. There's a huge difference between what DSDS does and what DSSS offers. Your version as of https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dual_SIM#Passive.2FStandby isn't really clear on this. DSDS is actually dual-SIM, just it doesn't allow two parallel calls, while DSSS is basically single-SIM with a card swapper built in. The previous version before your edits is nicely explaining this, maybe minus a few grammar mistakes. jOERG 02:27, 24 June 2014 (UTC) — Preceding unsigned comment added by Joerg rw (talkcontribs)

Re: the DSDS works by time multiplexing the one receiver, to listen/scan to both carriers for inbound calls. Once a call comes in, the "scanner locks to the active channel" , so the other band appears like "phone shut off or in a cave" during a call on first band. Feel free contact me via http://neo900.org/contact - preferrably IRC - for any further questions. cheers, jOERG 02:44, 24 June 2014 (UTC) — Preceding unsigned comment added by Joerg rw (talkcontribs)

July 2014

You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war according to the reverts you have made on Shy Carlos. Users are expected to collaborate with others, to avoid editing disruptively, and to try to reach a consensus rather than repeatedly undoing other users' edits once it is known that there is a disagreement.

Please be particularly aware, Wikipedia's policy on edit warring states:

  1. Edit warring is disruptive regardless of how many reverts you have made; that is to say, editors are not automatically "entitled" to three reverts.
  2. Do not edit war even if you believe you are right.

If you find yourself in an editing dispute, use the article's talk page to discuss controversial changes; work towards a version that represents consensus among editors. You can post a request for help at an appropriate noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases it may be appropriate to request temporary page protection. If you engage in an edit war, you may be blocked from editing.MusikAnimal talk 16:50, 1 July 2014 (UTC)

Edit War

Your recent editing history at Mafia II shows that you are currently engaged in an edit war. Being involved in an edit war can result in your being blocked from editing—especially if you violate the three-revert rule, which states that an editor must not perform more than three reverts on a single page within a 24-hour period. Undoing another editor's work—whether in whole or in part, whether involving the same or different material each time—counts as a revert. Also keep in mind that while violating the three-revert rule often leads to a block, you can still be blocked for edit warring—even if you don't violate the three-revert rule—should your behavior indicate that you intend to continue reverting repeatedly.

To avoid being blocked, instead of reverting please consider using the article's talk page to work toward making a version that represents consensus among editors. See BRD for how this is done. If discussions reach an impasse, you can then post a request for help at a relevant noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, you may wish to request temporary page protection. Regarding page moves at Mutya Johanna Datul

I'd like to let you know that, to undo a page move, you shouldn't copy the text back to the original (now redirected) title. Instead, you should tag that page for deletion so an administrator can move it back. There is a specific template for this: {{db-move|Current title|Reason it should be moved}}

This is the preferred way to fix a move, because it preserves the article's history. I've already done all this, and an admin should handle this soon.

Newspapers.com check-in

Hello Blakegripling ph,

You are receiving this message because you have a one-year subscription to Newspapers.com through the Wikipedia Library. This is a brief update, to remind you about that access:

  • Please make sure that you can still log in to your Newspapers.com account. If you are having trouble let me know.
  • Remember, if you find this source useful for your Wikipedia work, to include citations with links on Wikipedia. Links to partner resources are one of the few ways we can demonstrate usage and demand for accounts to our partners. The greater the linkage, the greater the likelihood a useful partnership will be renewed. Also, keep in mind that part of Newspapers.com is open access via the clipping function. Clippings allow you to identify particular articles, extract them from the original full sheet newspaper, and share them through unique URLs. Wikipedia users who click on a clipping link in your citation list will be able to access that particular article, and the full page of the paper if they come from the clipping, without needing to subscribe to Newspapers.com. For more information about how to use clippings, see http://www.newspapers.com/basics/#h-clips .
  • Do you write unusual articles using this partner's sources? Did access to this source create new opportunities for you in the Wikipedia community? If you have a unique story to share about your contributions, let me know and we can set up an opportunity for you to write a blog post about your work with one of our partner's resources.

Finally, we would greatly appreciate it if you filled out this short survey. Your input will help us to facilitate this particular partnership, and to discover what other partnerships and services the Wikipedia Library can offer.

Thank you,

Speedy deletion nomination of Wikipedia:Sockpuppet investigations/Griimmy

A tag has been placed on Wikipedia:Sockpuppet investigations/Griimmy, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done for the following reason:

This is a duplicate of Wikipedia:Sockpuppet investigations/6Flamingo. Although this might be turned into a redirect, I prefer deleting, because the other page (Wikipedia:Sockpuppet investigations/6Flamingo) will most probably be moved, maybe even split in two.

Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not meet basic Wikipedia criteria may be deleted at any time.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you can place a request here. Maelbros

Hi there, I was wondering if there was a reason why you notified Maelbros, an indeffed, known sockpuppeteer that there is a sockpuppetry case against them. There's no requirement to notify sock operators about suspicions (frankly, it's counterproductive to tip them off, in my experience) and there's no indication this guy's checking his talk page since he's probably generated 40+ iterations of new socks. Just curious. Regards, Cyphoidbomb (talk) 16:00, 13 June 2015 (UTC)

ArbCom elections are now open!

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. A kitten for you!

Hi Blakegripling ph, thanks for the thanks over my edit on Marcella Puppini, its funny how i end up on wikipages that are a long way from where i usually hang out, i was just watching some special features on a Jonathan Creek episode The Grinning Man and saw the name of the group featured in the episode - The Puppini Sisters, clicked on the lead singer link and hey presto! anyway, all the best

Here we go again..

Hi Blakegripling ph! It's been a long time. I just want you to know that Nerhoestebat is creating another hoax station again, implying to DWBB. To be honest, I never heard from GMA Network that they already launched an AM station in Baguio City. But when I found out that they didn't announce anything, I suspected it already that this is only invented by a user. Curently, I proposed a speedy deletion of it. I will let the others know. Thanks and regards. Hamham31Heke!KushKush! 01:23, 1 June 2016 (UTC)

Oh brother... Any leads as to whether the account's a sock of either Bertrand or some other known sockmaster? Blake Gripling (talk) 02:28, 1 June 2016 (UTC)
I'll be checking it for now. At first ABS-CBN's radio station, and now this? Well, its been a long time since I've open my Wikipedia account because I'm too busy for my new job right now. But I'll be keeping an eye of it. And in additional, I've also proposed a deletion for his other contributions, see my proposed deletion on our Tamabayan talk page. Thank you. Hamham31Heke!KushKush!
If it's a blatant hoax just flag a G3 speedy on it; no need for a lengthy discussion on why it should be deleted as a quick search would be enough to justify deletion. Blake Gripling (talk) 06:26, 1 June 2016 (UTC)
(talk page stalker) Or if someone other than the creator declined the speedy deletion, you can propose it for deletion by adding {{subst:prod|reason}} to the top of the article. Sixth of March 01:49, 3 June 2016 (UTC)

Yaysmay15 may likely be a sockpuppet of an older account

I didn't notice that you filed a sockpuppet report on Yaysmay15 who was concluded to have used newer account Yays Falcunitin to evade a temporary ban. I have filed a separate report unaware of the older report. Based on their editing pattern and history Yaysmay15 themselves may be Vince daryl falcunitin.Hariboneagle927 (talk) 13:07, 8 August 2016 (UTC)

DYK for The American Girls Premiere

On 5 October 2016, Did you know was updated with a fact from the article The American Girls Premiere, which you recently created, substantially expanded, or brought to good article status. The fact was ... that in 1998, The Boston Globe said the girls' video game market was "exploding" with titles such as The American Girls Premiere? The nomination discussion and review may be seen at Template:Did you know nominations/The American Girls Premiere. You are welcome to check how many page hits the article got while on the front page (here's how, The American Girls Premiere), and it may be added to the statistics page if the total is over 5,000. Finally, if you know of an interesting fact from another recently created article, then please feel free to suggest it on the Did you know talk page.

The wisdom of deleting the user pages of socks is being discussed

Please see Wikipedia talk:Sockpuppet investigations/Archives/Archive18#Mass deletion of sock tags and user pages, since you opened WP:Miscellany for deletion/User:Malusia22. People are now asking if such pages should be kept around for future reference. Thanks, EdJohnston (talk) 01:09, 11 November 2016 (UTC)

Hi! Thanks for your effort to edit CD-R King. However, I revert the edit that you did on the said article since the current edit was fine and to avoid the article to look like an advertisement which is an issue to the article earlier and had been resolved.

Thanks! Bumbl_loid 12:01, 16 November 2016 (UTC) — Preceding unsigned comment added by Bumbl loid (talkcontribs)

Again, the current edit was done upon resolution to the problem earlier which made the article tagged as "an advertisement". Please do not revert your edit again. Bumbl_loid 12:06, 16 November 2016 (UTC) — Preceding unsigned comment added by Bumbl loid (talkcontribs)

Speedy deletion contested: User talk:L is for LTA

Hello Blakegripling ph. I am just letting you know that I contested the speedy deletion of User talk:L is for LTA, a page you tagged for speedy deletion, because of the following concern: Talk pages are not meant to be speedied and are usually kept as a record of discussion . Thank you. Class455 (talk|stand clear of the doors!) 07:52, 18 January 2017 (UTC)

@Class455: I actually tagged it for CSD per consensus on this page. Said consensus was made as it isn't worth the trouble to leave a trail on this troll, and it makes no sense anyway, as whoever is behind this sock is obviously in it to crave for (unwanted) attention. Little Lulu

Hey! In Brazil Mônica's Gang is the most popular comic since the 70's. The franchise has products, animated series, films, sculptures in São Paulo and a theme park for kids. Lulu is the second most popular comic. You can still find them on newsstands and supermarkets, they reissued the stories and re-released here. It's so exciting! There is no rivalry in original comics, but YES in teen comics. Monica Teen was released in 2008 and Coquetel (producer of Little Lulu here) criticized, but a year later was released Luluzinha Teen (Little Lulu Teen). There is a great rivalry by the teenagers, but most of them bought the two comics. Little Lulu Teen ended in 2015, unfortunately, but it was a big success and talked about current themes (the first time and a gay couple; see: http://oglobo.globo.com/cultura/megazine/hq-luluzinha-teen-tem-beijo-gay-exemplo-de-intolerancia-11513753). I hope I have helped.

Hi User:Blakegripling ph, can you get a logo for the Red Dead game series please, as it is in need? This one's for the franchise [1]. The logo should crop the "Read Dead" text used for Read Dead Redemption 2, since it's the most recent release in the franchise, this is the official logo Rockstar Games are currently using on their website for the franchise [2]. This one's good from the Polish Red Dead website [3] and it uses that lighter, lust colour the 2 text uses, thanks--Theo Mandela (talk) 17:21, 21 March 2017 (UTC)
