Okay I will before the next time I run it. But you might consider making it a subpage of the main article, or a template outright, which might really be best. I don't believe that ariticles normally exist only to be transcluded, while templates very often can. But it's just a suggestion. If you need help making it a template let me know (all you really would need to do is move it). Thanks. --W.marsh 03:33, 25 June 2006 (UTC)Reply

Unreferenced BLPs

edit

Hello Blameless! Thank you for your contributions. I am a bot alerting you that 1 of the articles that you created is tagged as an Unreferenced Biography of a Living Person. The biographies of living persons policy requires that all personal or potentially controversial information be sourced. In addition, to ensure verifiability, all biographies should be based on reliable sources. If you were to bring this article up to standards, it would greatly help us with the current 6 article backlog. Once the article is adequately referenced, please remove the {{unreferencedBLP}} tag. Here is the article:

Thank you for quality articles about poets such as K. W. Gransden, Esmé Hooton, Anne MacNaughton, Lynda Schraufnagel and Niall Sheridan, for articles about scholars such as John J. Autopatrolled granted

edit

Hi Blameless, I just wanted to let you know that I have added the autopatrolled user right to your account. This means that pages you create will automatically be marked as 'reviewed', and no longer appear in the new pages feed. Autopatrolled is assigned to prolific creators of articles, where those articles do not require further review, and may have been requested on your behalf by someone else. It doesn't affect how you edit; it is used only to manage the workload of new page patrollers.

Since the articles you create will no longer be systematically reviewed by other editors, it is important that you maintain the high standard you have achieved so far in all your future creations. Please also try to remember to add relevant WikiProject templates, stub tags, categories, and incoming links to them, if you aren't already in the habit; user scripts such as Rater and StubSorter can help with this. As you have already shown that you have a strong grasp of Wikipedia's core content policies, you might also consider volunteering to become a new page patroller yourself, helping to uphold the project's standards and encourage other good faith article writers.

Feel free to leave me a message if you have any questions. Happy editing! Schwede66 06:52, 22 October 2022 (UTC)Reply

Thanks, Schwede66 (talk · contribs)! And thanks for all those edits that just showed up on my watchlist--I will try to learn how to make proper dashes. blameless 06:54, 22 October 2022 (UTC)Reply

File:Kurt Vonnegut by Bernard Gotfryd (1965).jpg

edit

You might well have noticed this, but if you wanted to help find some good uses for it, could probably get this to FP. Adam Cuerden (talk)Has about 8.5% of all FPs. 16:15, 8 September 2023 (UTC)Reply

Thanks! That's another good writer photo. I like the Trillin one also. The same issues with dating I mentioned with Jong might apply to the Vonnegut one--at least, Getty has it as "early 1970s." blameless 01:38, 9 September 2023 (UTC)Reply
I tend to trust the people who got it from the photographer over an aggregate site like that. I've seen some blatant inaccuracies on Getty, and every time I've seen something on the LoC, I just... contact them, and it gets fixed. Adam Cuerden (talk)Has about 8.5% of all FPs. 03:01, 9 September 2023 (UTC)Reply
Well, that's three Gotfryds likely to be featured. D'ye want Trillin or shall I? Doesn't look too bad: A bunch of spots upper leftish and upper rightish, a hair on the rug lower right, and some maybe-actually-there spots on the left wall that can be ignored. Adam Cuerden (talk)Has about 8.5% of all FPs. 19:04, 11 September 2023 (UTC)Reply
Thanks for asking! And thanks for working on and nominating the Vonnegut one. No problem if you'd like to work on Trillin--I probably wouldn't have time for a bit (based on your output, you seem to be faster at these things than I). blameless 03:38, 12 September 2023 (UTC)Reply
