Games coverage of SSX Tricky
editHere's the article you requested. It is split across two columns of text on p.60, so I've merged them for readability. It's quite short, but hopefully it helps. Sorry about the funky angles as this was taken by camera instead of scanner.

Re:SSX 3
editYes, I think that would knock out most of that paragraph. In addition, the whole section is a bit wordy- for example, you have
"Once all "Race" events are completed on a peak, the player's snowboarder is challenged to a "Backcountry race" by their rival snowboarder, which consists of a one on one race against the rival. Winning the "Backcountry race" unlocks a "Peak race", where the player aims to beat their rival's best time from the top of the peak to the bottom of the mountain. Both "Backcountry races" and "Peak races" have only one heat. Completing the "Peak race" unlocks the next peak."
Which could be rewritten as
"After completing the "Race" events, the player's snowboarder is challenged to a one-on-one "Backcountry race" by their rival. Winning unlocks a "Peak race", where the player aims to beat their rival's best time from the peak to the bottom of the mountain. Both races have only one heat. Completing the races unlocks the next peak."
That's about a 25% reduction without losing anything, and I think you could do the same throughout the section. Also, you don't need to "quote" the names of races. --PresN 00:32, 6 January 2015 (UTC)

Re: Lego Racers review
editHere you go. The OPM review appears to be for Lego Racers 2, but I scanned it anyway. Threw in the EGM review for good measure.
Hope these are useful. JimmyBlackwing (talk) 00:29, 21 February 2015 (UTC)
- @JimmyBlackwing: Thanks a lot for these, they're going to be very helpful for improving the article. I've noticed that the EGM review has 4 individual scores for the game, but Template:Video game reviews lists a typical score from 0.0 to 10.0. Do you know if there some sort of way to average the numbers together, or is there a single overall score I can find somewhere? Thanks again. BlookerG talk 00:42, 21 February 2015 (UTC)
- There's no overall score, and I think averaging might be against the rules. When I've put EGM scores into that template before, I've included them all: 4/4.5/7/2, for example. The template reads that formatting just fine. JimmyBlackwing (talk) 07:36, 21 February 2015 (UTC)
- Actually, according to GameRankings, EGM gave it an overall score of 5.5/10. I'll use this score in the review template, but discuss the reviewers' opinions in the section. Thanks for your help! BlookerG talk 13:42, 21 February 2015 (UTC)

Re: Grow Home
editIt's a relatively new idea, and purely optional; in the same discussion that changed the template's guideline to round to the nearest whole percent, the suggestion was floated to put in the review count (see Children of Mana for example, currently at FAC) since an average of 8 reviews is a bit different from an average of 80 reviews. That wasn't added to the guidelines, though it got some general support, I just push it as a personal preference that I think helps the table a bit. Feel free to ignore it! --PresN 02:38, 4 March 2015 (UTC)
- @PresN: I fixed the partial links, but Soetermans changed them back. See this revision. Which is correct? Does it matter what the format is? BlookerG talk 21:40, 4 March 2015 (UTC)
- Hi BlookerG, I think WP:NOPIPE makes it clear. For instance [[Rock, Paper Shotgun]]'s and [[Rock, Paper, Shotgun|Rock, Paper, Shotgun's]] both link to Rock, Paper, Shotgun. You'd be making it easier on yourself, and for other editors too :) Hopes this helps. Thanks, and happy editing. --Soetermans. T / C 00:13, 5 March 2015 (UTC)

Snowboard Super Cross
editHi BlookerG,
Could you elaborate on why this is notable? The source you've added says "In fact, SSX stands for snowboard super cross". That's it. The article itself doesn't mention Snowboard Super Cross at all. Snowboarding might be a given, but 'super cross'? SSX (series) says "SSX is intended to be short for "Snowboard Supercross",[1] but the complete title has almost never actually been referred to in any way in the marketing or promotion of the games or within the games themselves. According to 2012's SSX the acronym in Team SSX means: Snowboarding, Surfing, and Motocross." If the title isn't used officially, why should Wikipedia point out what the letters *orginally* stood for? --Soetermans. T / C 15:11, 11 April 2015 (UTC)
- I guess it isn't notable enough then, sorry. BlookerG talk 15:31, 11 April 2015 (UTC)

Lego Racers?
editHello, BlookerG! Congratulations on the promotion of Lego Racers. I was wondering ... before you began editing the article I had the intention of reaching GA as well, and added most of the info to the Development section and the Gameplay section, plus some info to the Reception section. However, I went on hiatus and stopped working on it. I was only wondering if you would mind me adding Lego Racers to my own list of GAs, because I do feel I laid a lot of the basis for the promotion. Best regards, --Khanassassin ☪ 13:00, 28 June 2015 (UTC)

To Pimp A Butterfly
editThe score was already discussed in the section's first few sentences ("At Metacritic, which assigns... the album received an average score of 96"). Please avoid using the rationale that because other stuff exists in similar fashion, it is acceptable for another article to have it the same way (Doolite (album) became a featured article eight years ago, and as you can see here, the version that was reviewed and promoted did not mention Metacritic at all). The lead should be a summary of an article's "most important aspects". The importance of information and what content gets added to an article is determined by the level of third-party coverage it received; Wikipedia article are "not a dumping ground for any and all information that readers consider important or useful. For the sake of neutrality, Wikipedia cannot rely upon any editor's opinion about what topics are important." (WP:THIRDPARTY#Why third-party sources are required) What source independent of Metacritic (a third-party) establishes the importance of their information? Is there a preponderance of sources that highlights the fact the album received a score of 96 from Metacritic or even that it was the highest-rated rap album on their site? It is off-topic anyway and can only be meant to bludgeon readers with the fact that the album was very well received by critics, which is already established by the critics who are discussed in the section and the sentence "it received widespread acclaim from music critics". The idea that the album received widespread acclaim from critics is something that's been covered by a number of other sources, but its ranking at Metacritic isnt, so it shouldn't be accorded anymore weight than any of the other scores or specific critics in that section. There's no need to emphasis this point of view and give undue weight to Metacritic, which isn't the topic of the article. Furthermore, this list is fluid and only reflects how Metacritic has calculated the receptions of all those albums (as opposed to other sources that may have documented their receptions differently, i.e. a particular point of view) I don't meant to throw so much policy and guidelines at you, but I've had the same said to me when I was learning also.
