Your signature

edit

Hello, BlusteryBlowers, and thanks for visiting the Teahouse. However, I noticed that your signature seems to be causing "This article is a stub. You can help Wikipedia by expanding it." to appear on new lines within the signature. This is possibly due to your having included a template (identifiable by their use of double {curly brackets} ) in your signature. I'm afraid I'm not an expert at the markup used to format signatures, or I would offer concrete suggestions. If you can't get the formatting of your signature correct on your own, do please post at the Teahouse asking for help with it, and another volunteer will be sure to give you a hand. —GrammarFascist contribstalk 14:12, 30 October 2015 (UTC)Reply

Unconstructive edits

edit

Please refrain from making unconstructive edits to Wikipedia. Your edits to several articles appear to have been disruptive and have been reverted or removed.

Continuing to edit disruptively could result in loss of editing privileges. Thank you. —GrammarFascist contribstalk 09:13, 31 October 2015 (UTC)Reply

False claims on your user page

edit

Hello again, BlusteryBlowers. Taking a closer look at your user page, I notice you are claiming to have several types of editing rights or status which you do not, in fact, have. The sidebar on your user page lists Pending changes reviewer, Rollbacker, Template editor, Account Creator, File Mover, Administrator, Bureaucrat, CheckUser, and Oversighter as permissions you have. You do not have any of those permissions, and it is inappropriate for you to claim that you do.

In addition, you claim dates of joining Wikipedia much earlier (2008 and 2013) than your actual join date (2015); that you have adopted users Daemon64 and Superkid761; that you have rollback and file mover rights (in separate claims from those listed above); and that you have created 15 articles. Possibly you copied much of the layout of your user page, including userboxes, from another user's page. Regardless, you should not be making claims about your status on Wikipedia which are demonstrably not true. Please edit your user page accordingly, to remove the false claims.

This last point is a minor one, but it is unnecessary and unpleasant to have eight copies of the same Wikipedia ad and twenty copies of the rather large image of Maria Callas which are currently displayed on your user page. One copy of each should suffice.

I hope that you will edit your user page to address these concerns soon. —GrammarFascist contribstalk 16:06, 31 October 2015 (UTC)Reply

Editing other users' Talk page comments

edit

There is a difference between copy-editing to correct typos, grammatical errors and so on, and making edits which change the meaning of what the other editor actually said. What you did when you edited my comments above was the latter, and it is not acceptable even on your own user page. Please do not do that again.

Thank you for finally removing the false claims from your user page. I will take the imitation as flattery. —GrammarFascist contribstalk 05:56, 9 November 2015 (UTC)Reply

Final warning

edit

Hi BlusteryBlowers. As you probably know because they pinged you when they did so, I was asked to take a look at your edits and I have. What I see is almost all disruptive editing from you in one form or another. You editing appears to me to be a net negative drain on the community, with the sum indicting to me you are not here to help build an encyclopedia. There have been a very few decent edits, just one, maybe two, a few more that were incorrect but not necessarily made with bad intent, but others that obviously were (starting with your very first edit), plus frustrating conduct like saying you will stop doing things but never following through, e.g. fixing your disruptive signature. Your edits changing another user's post above to say the opposite is an example of bad faith editing. I will block your account if there is further disruptive editing brought to my attention – as will, I suspect any admin who knows you have received this final warning. Do not forget to fix your signature; not fixing that for a length of time will result in a block as well. I get the feeling you're about twelve (I am not asking), which there's nothing wrong with, but Wikipedia is a serious place, with a serious goal, with boring serious adults like me who don't wish to waste time on games. On the other hand, we are a very forgiving community – even welcoming former vandals who show they truly have amended their ways. If you fly right from here, then this past will be no big deal.--Fuhghettaboutit (talk) 00:04, 10 November 2015 (UTC)Reply

Tracey Ullman's State of the Union page needs to be editied

edit

Tracey Ullman's State of the Union is too long because it is filled with stuff about who she impressions on her show (or he?) which hardly. come on. not even most shows say that. page for for example Dead Ringers probably doesnt even thought its all impressions. can it be deleted from Tracey Ullman's State of the Union? i cant do it im on thin ice i acknowledge so risky business to delete all this. Stuff straightshooterBLUSTER AT ME, BLOWER 01:09, 10 November 2015 (UTC)Reply

thats Dead Ringers (comedy) not the Lars Von Trier movie (I think?) or Dario Argento. and ok so it does but not even as many so hardly any it works out as when you consider. That its a show of impressions only. i dont think Tracey Ullman's State of the Union was just a show of impressions and nobody whose going to visit the page will need or want to know, i think it can safely be deleted from the original server or at least. thankyou straightshooterBLUSTER AT ME, BLOWER 01:12, 10 November 2015 (UTC)Reply

Your user page

edit

I have removed all duplicate images from your user page, leaving just one copy of each ad, image and userbox. Hopefully that has fixed the problem with your user page crashing your browser. I did not make any other changes. If you have any further problems or questions, you are welcome to return to the Teahouse. —GrammarFascist contribstalk 23:51, 11 November 2015 (UTC)Reply

Your constructive edit to Cobalt bomb

edit

Congratulations on your first constructive edit to a Wikipedia article, at Cobalt bomb! For future reference, we call what you did an "intralink", not a "highlight". Thank you for including a useful edit summary even though you didn't know what the jargon term for it was. I look forward to seeing many more constructive edits from you. —GrammarFascist contribstalk 15:51, 14 November 2015 (UTC)Reply
