Orphaned non-free media (File:Normal poster Harry and Draco.jpg)

edit

Thanks for uploading File:Normal poster Harry and Draco.jpg. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BJBot (talk) 16:59, 13 May 2009 (UTC)Reply

TF2 poster

edit

Please stop reuploading the larger poster size for the Transformers 2 poster. Wikipedia has to work within fair use guidelines which state that for film posters one edge has to be 300cm or less long. (Quentin X (talk) 18:00, 17 May 2009 (UTC))Reply

  • Hello again. As the film is a US production the US poster takes precedence over other posters in the infobox. Please feel free to stick the international poster somewhere else in the article. (nice) 07:32, 12 June 2009 (UTC))Reply

Transformers: RotF

edit

I noticed that you made two recent edits that are not backed up by verifiable sources, those edits being: 1) adding "Moonracer" as the name of the purple motorcycle, and 2) adding Leonard Nimoy as the voice of The Fallen. Neither claim has been verified, though people continued to repeatedly make those and similar edits, which is why I had requested for the article to be semi-protected. While those are only two edits you made, they are two too many. I appreciate that you're trying to contribute to Wikipedia, but you've been editing here long enough to know the basic rules, one of them being that any claims must be properly sourced. If you can find a valid source for any information you contribute to the RotF article, then by all means add it. If you can't, then don't. Thank you and good day. — JGoodman (talk) 09:12, 25 May 2009 (UTC)Reply

ArbCom elections are now open!

edit

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
