Thank you! If only I knew what that is... Bolt Escargot (talk) 16:15, 1 October 2020 (UTC)
Consider taking a break?
editHello Bolt Escargot. I've noticed a large number of puzzling edits by you at User talk:MacedoRoman (about 50 posts altogether). It is hard for me to consider this a good faith activity, or a rational use of talk pages. I request that you stop posting on that page for at least 24 hours. You also made a strange edit at WP:ANI entitled 'Aromanian Website'. Wikipedia has a rule about WP:Competence is required. Thank you, EdJohnston (talk) 04:16, 7 December 2020 (UTC)
- I apologize. I did not see the message. Bolt Escargot (talk) 04:23, 7 December 2020 (UTC)
- Okay, I will stop posting in that page for 24 hours as requested. I saw nationalism along with racism and reacted to it. I was trying to explain that user why he was wrong and why I was correct with logical arguments. The edit might appear strange, because in the beginning the user was harassing me and offending me constantly. Severely. If you have the time and kindness to read the user's talk page, it will become obvious why I reacted. I simply requested a formal apology and he refused to apologize. Just that. If you read the comments section you will see the user is declaring that his nation is more superior than mine. Clear cut case of Racism. I warned the user that I will report him and I did. If I caused to much confusion I formally apologize and promise not to do it again. If reporting a user is not allowed. I accept it and will not disturb you again. Bolt Escargot (talk) 04:34, 7 December 2020 (UTC)
- Furthermore, the user changed his stance when I commented and that's why my report appeared as puzzling. Bolt Escargot (talk) 04:36, 7 December 2020 (UTC)
- I had no intention of creating havoc and confusion and for that I am deeply sorry. Bolt Escargot (talk) 04:36, 7 December 2020 (UTC)
- My report is still there and should be considered. I was just trying to change the mentality of MacedoRoman and accept my contributions to Wikipedia as valid, normal and neutral. I saw the way he was talking to me as a form of Cyber-bullying. Superior-Inferior etc. Bolt Escargot (talk) 04:40, 7 December 2020 (UTC)
- My activity was of good faith. Maybe I was in a rush but I considered correct to sit and explain to our fellow editor why he was discriminating me. That explains the huge amount of messages posted on the talk page and why it appears puzzling. I appeared as the aggressor and he appeared as the victim. But appearances are deceiving. So, please consider my acts as benevolent and not malicious. I was not trying to harm anyone or disobey the rules. In fact I am quite inexperienced and not making mistakes intentionally. I did not know that such rules existed WP:Competence. Bolt Escargot (talk) 05:13, 7 December 2020 (UTC)

. —valereee (talk) 11:52, 7 December 2020 (UTC)What is edit-warring? Anyway, I did not to anything wrong. I never provoked anyone. But not to worry. I do not care anymore. If you support the nationalism and irredentism the user MacedoRoman displayed, fine with me. Who am I to change that. Bolt Escargot (talk) 16:51, 9 December 2020 (UTC)
- Edit warring, which is explained at WP:EDITWAR, is when two or more editors revert one anothers' edits back-and-forth multiple times. Wikipedia considers it a major problem. We expect editors to discuss at talk pages rather than continuing to revert. —valereee (talk) 23:03, 9 December 2020 (UTC)
Help with an Aromanian name
editHello again, Bolt Escargot. I'm creating a page for the Panhellenic Federation of Cultural Associations of Vlachs, which you probably know, and I need help with the organization's Aromanian name. Could you translate it for me? Super Ψ Dro 13:19, 23 December 2020 (UTC)
- At the end I asked someone else, but you can still verify the name I used if you'd like. I used "Pareia Panelineascã al Sutsatelor Culturali Armãneshti". Super Ψ Dro 18:58, 23 December 2020 (UTC)
I apologize for not answering to you, I have been very busy. Bolt Escargot (talk) 05:58, 30 July 2021 (UTC)
Besides, my Aromanian dialect is very different. It is the farsharot version of the language, the most isolated group of Aromanians. We were nomads until the 1960s when our native countries (Greece and Albania) forced us to settle permanently in villages. Our language will one day disappear. It is inevitable. All we can do is preserve it as much as we can. For that I have to thank you my friend. Your contributions to Wikipedia about Aromanians are amazing. God bless you for that. For a year or so, I have been adding Aromanian words as an anonymous user(unfortunately), because I was using a public computer. Bolt Escargot (talk) 06:11, 30 July 2021 (UTC)
Thanks again in advance for protecting me from other abusive users. If you want to know what dialect I am speaking see wiktionary : rramaneshti. Bolt Escargot (talk) 06:14, 30 July 2021 (UTC)
- Hello, sorry but somehow I've taken even more time to answer you! Yes I know about the Farsharot Aromanians, it is interesting to know you belong to those. I personally believe the situation of the Aromanians can still be saved. Romania is a breadbasket for Aromanian poetry, literature, folk music and others. Albania is also seeing a revival of its Aromanian minority ever since its recognition, as far as I know. The situation in North Macedonia is also good I believe, and Serbia could recognize the Aromanians soon if 300 people declare Aromanian ethnicity in the next 2022 census. Only Bulgaria, where not many live anyway, and Greece are worrying. But the situation there could change too, who knows.
- Thank you for your kind words. I am happy to know my actions are approved by the people I edit about. I would like to notify you that I've created a proposal for a WikiProject aimed at the Aromanians. A WikiProject is basically a centralized effort to work on a certain topic here in Wikipedia. All countries have one (for examples see Wikipedia:WikiProject Albania and Wikipedia:WikiProject Greece) and major ethnicities like the Kurds do too. I thought the Aromanians could have one too and I created a proposal here [1]. Your support would be of great help for its approval, so please consider taking a look. Best of luck brother!
