Contested PROD on Terrorists safe havens in Pakistan

FYI, I just contested your PROD on this article. Whether articles should be deleted because of POV issues is a debatable issue, so I think it is better handled by a discussion at AfD. Qrsdogg (talk) 19:00, 3 May 2011 (UTC)

Well, my belief is that this is inherently POV; there's a plethora of terrorism-in-Pakistan related articles, and I'm sure that the existing sourced content would be suitable for one of these. This is just my opinion, however. --bonadea contributions talk 10:34, 4 May 2011 (UTC)

Patrick M. Collins page

Bonadea, I significantly updated the page last week and removed a ton of text, including anything that sounded like an advertisement. By doing such a complete overhaul, I thought removing the maintenance tags was warranted. I'm also confused by what constitutes a secondary source: Most of the articles cited in the wiki do take you to external secondary sources, i.e, newspaper articles, etc. Can you please give me an example, using the existing article, of how I could add a valid secondary source? I honestly can find no promotional language in the text now, but if you disagree with that, can you please point to specific language in the existing text? I would really appreciate that. Also, it is not true that no other wiki articles link to it; here's an example of several: Rod_Blagojevich_corruption_charges; David_H._Hoffman; and Pat_Quinn_(politician). And finally, can you please give me a little more guidance as to why would it be a conflict of interest for me to edit this article? I am absolutely committed to being neutral; I simply want to get the facts about Mr. Collins and his accomplishments posted to the page. I have no interest in doing anything other than that. Creating a promotional piece about Mr. Collins is not my intent! His notability is established by his role as a former federal prosecutor in notable cases (notably, the conviction of Governor George Ryan), and in his appointment by a current governor to chair an ethics reform commission in a state with a history of corruption. Those are just the facts. Please let me know what I can do to satisfy your concerns. Thank you in advance! Zoeykennedy1 (talk) 17:15, 4 May 2011 (UTC) Zoeykennedy1 (talk) 19:20, 11 May 2011 (UTC)

Can you please review my comments on pages:

Can you please review: http://www.lifetimeupgrades.com/windows/network-internet/browser-tools/news-publisher/ Ankit (talk) 13:43, 26 May 2011 (UTC)

I only want to show reviews and stories from several site editors and admin of the site. It request you to not be biased to remove the article if I try to show you reviews, date verification and editor's comments from several links which can not be generated by user content. I have already shown you several links from review sites etc. I am only contesting the rationale here. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Ankit1 nagpal (talkcontribs) 14:34, 26 May 2011 (UTC)

  • Anyways, I will leave the discussion. If you feel the article has no genuine links or is a blatant advertisement. Please feel free to delete the article. I was trying to save the article which talks of general information and with genuine links from review sites. If given more time, I can provide more reliable sources. Ankit (talk)
  • And with reference to your comment: "You have been writing press releases for the company on several external websites, so clearly you are affiliated with it", all the links I have presented to you are neither owned by me, nor I am affiliated to any of those websites. For example, I am not the editor of Lifetimeupgrades.com who has written his review about the software on his website, and the same goes for other websites links and reviews. I can not force techbuzzblog.com to feature my product on their weekly features product review. Please stop considering me a spammer who has access to all reputed sites and can thus can publish information on every site I desire. Ankit (talk) 15:02, 26 May 2011 (UTC)
  • It appeared to me that there is one article on Wikipedia: Universal_Converter_(Unit_Conversion_Software) with almost no reference from any reliable or unreliable source etc., would that not be considered a AfD? I am not trying to argue the rules, just want to me more clear why many articles on Wiki are perfect with no links, and I am showing many independent review links and they are not considered by moderators. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Ankit1 nagpal (talkcontribs) 16:33, 26 May 2011 (UTC)
Thank you for your comments - because you have made the same comments on the Articles for Deletion discussion pages, I prefer to reply there. Having the same discussion in different places is potentially confusing, and discussing an article on a user talk page means that fewer people will see the discussion. I'm watching the Articles for Deletion pages for News Publisher and Universal Converter, so I'll see when any new comments are made there - there is no need to notify me here. Thank you! --bonadea contributions talk 12:52, 27 May 2011 (UTC)

Järpetorp

I´m delighted to see that my article attracted attention so rapidly, and have also adjusted the article according to your wish. And just FYI, Järpetorp is the collective name for "Stora Järpetorp", "Lilla Järpetorp" as well as "Lilleskog", which is a prominent part of Vänersborgs municipality. You were correct to point out that Järpetorp isn´t a municipality, but it is however an independent society willing to break out and form an own municipality. If you read the books i addressed in the article, you will find this piece of information. And thank you for your good work and rapid response :-) Rashmosh 17:29, 29 May 2011 (UTC) — Preceding unsigned comment added by Rashmosh (talkcontribs)

Question Regarding Wikipedia Policy

Hi Bonadea, thank you for you advice before regarding sources. I have a question: I'm a little confused with exactly how the Wikipedia policy applies to a situation like this: Talk:Alchemy#Issues with Article, New Contributor. Could you please read that thread (starting from where it says "Woah" down), and let me know. It's concerning whether the spiritual interpretation of alchemy should be given equal standing and a disagreement over what constitutes a reliable source. Please read it if you have the time and let me know your thoughts. Thanks, Will Timony, Ph.D (talkcontribs) 05:00, 2 June 2011 (UTC)

Hi - just would like to know why this page which I created (Joh Adams for Huffington Post) has been marked for speedy deletion. It is cired and referenced with articles from CNN, government sources, news wires, etc and covers a very well-covered recent event with current implications. I have interviewed the person in question as well for additional details, but I left the article's biases out. If you have any suggestions as to how I could adjust the article so that is is printed, I am open to it. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 65.75.92.87 (talk) 15:35, 2 July 2011 (UTC)

Deletion of "Linden Optometry"

The Linden Optometry page which you deleted is/was still being updated. If you look at the most recent update, you will see that it is the story of Linden Optometry as a Pioneer in the healthcare field. It is not meant as an advertisement for an optometry practice, but rather a history of how a tiny company from the 1950's and 1960's developed and pioneered marketing and service strategies decades before Mega-Chains like Lenscrafters even existed (and I notice you did not delete Lenscrafters -- why, because they are so huge? -- that's not really an accomplishment, is it?) Many of the features advertised as "invented by Lenscrafters or other MegaChains" were in fact developed by pioneers like Linden Optometry and others decades beforehand: 1-hour eyeglass labs, "Featherweight lenses", Staying open 7 days and nights, no-line bifocals, Green Eyewear made from Recycled materials, Large Advertising campaigns to educate the public (vision care advertising was actually prohibited in those days by the American Optometric Association and AOA demanded that Linden cease and desist all advertising, but after years of fighting with them, the Federal Gov't sued AOA, saying AOA was interfering with consumer rights to be educated through advertising, so Linden was cleared). That event, in fact, set the stage for the Mega-Chains to come into existence! So, all of these topics and others to be listed soon are really pioneering in the vision care industry. It is not simply an advertisement for an eye doctor. If there are specific sentences in the story which you feel are inappropriate, by all means delete them or notify me, but the story itself deserves to be read by the public.

Thank you. Pasqual88 (talk) 19:30, 6 July 2011 (UTC)

Hello, and thank you for your message. First, please note that I did not delete the page; I merely tagged it for deletion. The administrator who reviewed the page agreed that it did not meet the requirements for being kept, and deleted it; the administrator in question was User:Jimfbleak. If you want to request undeletion, or ask for a copy of the page to be sent to you, please ask Jimfbleak. The main issues with the article were first that there were no indications that the company is notable according to Wikipedia's definition of notability, and second that it was entirely promotionally written; the latter can be fixed with a complete re-write, but as for the former issue, if there isn't significant coverage in reliable sources for the company, then it unfortunately can't have a Wikipedia article. Thank you! --bonadea contributions talk 19:38, 6 July 2011 (UTC)

Hi Bonadea. Thank you for your work on patrolling new pages and tagging for speedy deletion. I'm just letting you know that I declined your deletion request for Custom wordpress theme, a page that you tagged for speedy deletion, because the criterion you used or the reason you gave does not cover this kind of page. Please take a moment to look at the suggested tasks for patrollers and review the criteria for speedy deletion. Particularly, the section covering non-criteria. Such pages are best tagged with proposed deletion, proposed deletion for biographies of living persons, or sent to the appropriate deletion discussion. Try PROD instead. Regarding website eMangrol.com

Hello Bonadea,

Thanks for revising my page. But I am little bit surprised why the page of a properly running website called eMangrol.com has been put on speedy deletion by you. Please check the website in case you have any doubts about it. Also, few wikipedia pages are already having links to the site for users. Maybe, I am not an expert user of wikipedia and that is why my previous page about myself was deleted from here, even though I am a well known writer and journalist in Mumbai, India.

Humbly requesting you to see what is right and also guide me just in case I have violated any rule.

Expecting positive and guiding feedback from you.

Hi Bonadea,

thanks for notifying me. I just want to know what I could do so that this site can be accepted. Being Born Again Couture Fashion Show assistance please and banner placement

Being Born Again Couture Fashion Show - banners help

Hi Bonadea,

In regards to http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Being_Born_Again_Couture_Fashion_Show: I have referenced the Natalie Imbruglia and the Natalie Gruzlewski properly. Apologies that I put in the Samantha Harris 'references' - I understand why it is not to do with Samantha Harris being in the fashion show, thank you. 3 questions please: 1. Are photographic evidence enough to be referenced? ie I've put in references in actual photographs of Natalie Imbruglia wearing the skirt and Natalie Gruzlewski wearing the dress and referenced them? 2. Image marked for deletion: I copied the image from facebook on the left hand side. How do I reference that and where/which place do I put the reference there please? 3. I have taken out all descriptive words and checked cites/references - do I need to do more?

As per Ma®©usBritish's comments: "...put in the "A major contributor to this article appears to have a close connection with its subject" tag, what are their reasons for believing this - I don't like "hit and run" tagging - they need to open up a dialogue in the discussion page and express their concerns, otherwise the tag serves no purpose other than to deface the article. Can you please address this matter in their talk page as they appear to have added a few of these 4 banners, which suggests they know more about the topic than they're willing to contribute - which is a waste of time if they don't intend to give clearer feedback."

A major contributor to this article appears to have a close connection with its subject. It may require cleanup to comply with Wikipedia's content policies, particularly neutral point of view. Please discuss further on the talk page. (August 2011) RESPONSE: I am very knowledgeable about this topic and hence am writing the wikipedia page for it. Short of one of the fashion designers or artists or models writing the page and giving it their "spin" and giving it their promotional point of view, I am writing the page from what I feel is an objective point of view and a very neutral point of view. Ma®©usBritish and Bonadea have helped me edit out all the things which are inappropriate and not to do with the article.

This article may contain wording that merely promotes the subject without imparting verifiable information. Please remove or replace such wording, unless you can cite independent sources that support the characterization. RESPONSE: I have referenced it properly and taken out all descriptive words. Ma®©usBritish and Bonadea have helped me. Please take out "This article may contain wording that merely promotes the subject without imparting verifiable information. Please remove or replace such wording, unless you can cite independent sources that support the characterization."

This article may contain inappropriate or misinterpreted citations that do not verify the text. Please help improve this article by checking for inaccuracies. (help, talk, get involved!) (August 2011) RESPONSE: I have cited all references properly and you can check - there is nothing that can be misinterpreted or misinformed. Ma®©usBritish and Bonadea have noted that there is little they can do considering that they have limited knowledge about fashion shows. I would like to have these 3 banners removed please. When will they be removed?

Thank you. Domenico.y (talk) 17:47, 28 August 2011 (UTC) Domenico.y

Hi Bonadea, Ma®©usBritish tried to guide me, but he can't advise me in a subject he knows little about. He told me to contact you, and get their concerns addressed ASAP. Parallel Kingdom COI editor

Per your message:
Hi, just as a FYI about the COI tag at Parallel Kingdom - the user name of the article's creator tallies exactly with the person at PerBlue, the company behind Parallel Kingdom, who is responsible for PerBlue's PR (as verified by their website). Obviously it could be a different person by the same name, or the username could have nothing to do with the person's real name, but the editor's only activities have been related to PerBlue and their product. So the assumption of a COI is not particularly far-fetched, but I'm not going to restore the tag as it is just an assumption, and in any case the article has been edited by several other people recently. --bonadea contributions talk 14:09, 13 November 2011 (UTC)

I didn't edit nothing.

I didn't add inappropriate external links to Wikipedia; it's pissing me off, all you losers keep sending me messages, shit ain't funny no more! so next time before you send a message. make sure you know the person who messed up the Wikipedia page, because it wasn't me.

That was back in 2009; it's not even really relevant any more. But there's no way to differentiate between unregistered users on a single IP adress; you may want to create an account. Kranix (talk) 08:15, 29 November 2011 (UTC)

Bengali_Brahmins

Sir,

In fact I would say that your last act on the page trying to correct Neil'e edit actually is a vandalism.

The article is about Bengali Brahmins, and in the list we find preachers of the Hindu religion from all sections of the populace... At best there should be a gap between the symbol and the personalities (as most of the personalities so mentioned are not Brahmins).

Giving you an example - how would you like if in a list of Saints, all Popes of the Vatican were included as a default?

Kindly rectify your mistake.
