Chris Pine
editHi Bottleshock34, I'm afraid you won't be successful in removing the paragraph about the incident in NZ from the article. It is sourced and thus allowed in a biography article according to Wikipedia rules. When you look at the talk page of the article you will see that a while ago I fighted to get that little word "routine" into the paragraph (showing it was a routine roadside test). It was left in there after I provided two sources for it. Imho, this incident was a mere nothing and is not a significant part of his biography, but I would prefer it to be left as is now. Trying to remove it only gives it more attention and someone else may come along and change it in a non-favourable way.--Sylvia Anna (talk) 10:49, 3 June 2017 (UTC)
- I understand your concerns, but you can't just come here and do what you want. If you go on removing the paragraph from the article you'll end up being banned from Wikipedia. That's all you'll achieve.--Sylvia Anna (talk) 10:50, 4 June 2017 (UTC)

editPlease stop making disruptive edits, as you did at Chris Pine.
- If you are engaged in an article content dispute with another editor, discuss the matter with the editor at their talk page, or the article's talk page, and seek consensus with them. Alternatively you can read Wikipedia's dispute resolution page, and ask for independent help at one of the relevant notice boards.
- If you are engaged in any other form of dispute that is not covered on the dispute resolution page, seek assistance at Wikipedia's Administrators' noticeboard/Incidents.
If you continue to disrupt Wikipedia, you may be blocked from editing. DMacks (talk) 06:20, 4 June 2017 (UTC)
No fan would put that there because it does not define someone. By placing it there, it's being just as bad as the magazines that only write stories that paint people badly. Where's the rest of it the good stuff like when he adopted weld or his charity work. His fans do not want it on his page and if you were a fan too you wouldn't want it there either. By saying that someone would put something worse there, i highly doubt that because most have forgotten it but you want people to remember. Please remove the paragraph and replace it with something positive.
- Please sign your comments on talk pages! This is an encyclopedia and encyclopedic articles are not written from the view of fans, but from a neutral point of view. The incident has happened, that's a fact. The way it is described in the paragraph now shows that it was a minor incident. If this minor incident is notable enough to be put in an article like this is disputable. Different people will see this differently. You are fighting windmills here. If you have reliable sources for his charity work, you can add this to the article. But, please, refer to the links I posted for you on the top of this page first and learn how things work here.--Sylvia Anna (talk) 12:46, 4 June 2017 (UTC)
About articles and dispute resolution on Wikipedia
editHi Bottleshock34, and thank you for your contributions so far.
The first place to discuss a Wikipedia web page (called an "article" in Wikipedia jargon) is on that article's "talk page". In this case, the relevant talk page is "Talk:Chris Pine".
I think you have valid concerns about that article. It is about a living person. Articles about living people must comply with the Wikipedia:Biographies of living persons policy.
I can see you have posted to the Administrators' noticeboard/Incidents about this. WP:ANI is generally regarded as the last resort for disputes, not the first place. Please don't worry too much about this: Wikipedia's policies and guidelines are very complex. I have been making changes (in Wikipedia jargon "editing") Wikipedia articles for over ten years and have the "administrator" privileges, and still find them sometimes difficult to navigate and implement.
Please let me know if I can assist you in any way. Peter from Melbourne, Australia aka --Shirt58 (talk) 08:22, 4 June 2017 (UTC)
