Please bear these points in mind while editing Wikipedia

The Wikipedia tutorial is a good place to start learning about Wikipedia. If you have any questions, see the help pages, add a question to the village pump or ask me on my talk page. By the way, you can sign your name on Talk and discussion pages using four tildes, like this: ~~~~ (the software will replace them with your signature and the date). Again, welcome! 4twenty42o (talk) 20:02, 25 March 2013 (UTC)Reply

Hello, I'm 4twenty42o. I wanted to let you know that I undid one of your recent contributions, such as the one you made with this edit to An Officer and a Gentleman, because it didn’t appear constructive to me. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thanks, 4twenty42o (talk) 20:09, 25 March 2013 (UTC)Reply

Please do not add or change content, as you did to Patrick Swayze, without verifying it by citing a reliable source. Please review the guidelines at Wikipedia:Citing sources and take this opportunity to add references to the article. Thank you. jmeeter (talk) 05:44, 31 March 2013 (UTC)Reply

Patrick Swayze

edit

Please stop adding in a "Facts" section to the article as almost all of the information you have added in already in the article in various sections. Other items such as his shoe size is trivia and should not be included in the article. Thank you. -- Gogo Dodo (talk) 05:47, 31 March 2013 (UTC)Reply

Please stop adding unsourced content, as you did to Patrick Swayze. This contravenes Wikipedia's policy on verifiability. If you continue to do so, you may be blocked from editing Wikipedia. jmeeter (talk) 05:52, 31 March 2013 (UTC)Reply

You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war according to the reverts you have made on Patrick Swayze. Users are expected to collaborate with others, to avoid editing disruptively, and to try to reach a consensus rather than repeatedly undoing other users' edits once it is known that there is a disagreement.

Please be particularly aware, Wikipedia's policy on edit warring states:

  1. Edit warring is disruptive regardless of how many reverts you have made; that is to say, editors are not automatically "entitled" to three reverts.
  2. Do not edit war even if you believe you are right.

If you find yourself in an editing dispute, use the article's talk page to discuss controversial changes; work towards a version that represents consensus among editors. You can post a request for help at an appropriate noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases it may be appropriate to request temporary page protection. If you engage in an edit war, you may be blocked from editing. Drmies (talk) 17:06, 31 March 2013 (UTC)Reply
