Brandrn,
Just put up the welcome note above because you said you were a new editor, and you might find the links helpful. I also responded to your edit request on Talk:Maya Angelou. I'll thank you again for your input and suggestions here. Dr. Angelou's article needs a great deal of work, and it seems that I'm the only editor that's partially serious about improving it. It's been a long project. I felt that in order to do it justice, I needed to be familiar with her autobiographies and use them as sources for her bio page. I wrote/improved five out of six of the articles about them, and have brought them to either GA or FA status, including her first book, I Know Why the Caged Bird Sings, which is an FA.
As I said, I just finished her last book, so it's my intention to do further research about it and the next forty years of Dr. A's life. Of course, I'm acting alone in this huge effort and project, so it's been slow going. I would appreciate your assistance. I also cut my teeth as a new WP editor on many of Dr. Angelou's articles. The great thing about being a new editor and working on her articles is that they're not at all controversial, so they're hassle-free. I've enjoyed learning about this great writer and person, so I welcome you to the MA journey! ;) Christine (talk) 18:23, 3 September 2011 (UTC)
