About your edition to the article Deming Public Schools

edit

I know that what you wanted to do is add more schools to the list and references, but something that i believe that will help the district is may be adding more information on each school, the students capacity, achievements, also addresses, or more information on services provided by the district. I hope this could help. --Xaleman87 (talk) 03:13, 21 February 2014 (UTC)Reply

Hey thank you Xaleman87 I did in fact want to add more on to the schools list and references. Adding When I was doing this doing this page I was thinking all of this adding more information on each school like for example I wanted to add about Deming High School and all of the awards that they have won or achieved. This did help thank you.--BrantDaMerc (talk) 08:57, 21 February 2014 (UTC)Reply

Providing the schools' names of all the public school help us to know about the school's options that residents may have, but I think that this article can be improved by adding additional information about Deming Mimbres Valley Learning Center; This school is also very significant on this town. --Hectorm07 (talk) 05:23, 21 February 2014 (UTC)Reply

Hey Hectorm07 Well I did my article on Deming Public Schools. Deming Mimbres Valley Learning Center is not apart of Deming Public Schools in fact it is owned and operated WNMU (Western New Mexico University). The learning center is very significant to this town.--BrantDaMerc (talk) 09:03, 21 February 2014 (UTC)Reply

Control of Deming Public Schools

edit

Thanks for the message!

I checked to see if there was any city control involved. http://demingps.org/board_of_education mentions a board of education, but it does not mention any city control. In the US usually school districts are not controlled by the city.

Usually if a city controls a school district, the city and district would have the exact same boundary. Because it serves more than the city of Deming, it's an indication that the city has no oversight over the district. WhisperToMe (talk) 11:36, 28 February 2014 (UTC)Reply
