Is there anyway possible that the writers from Wiki could source some of their time to research the CAFIB standard and actually include it or replace the nonsense that is there now about the breed known as Fila Brasileiro. Thanks.

Fila Brasileiro

edit

Hi there,

I've just reverted your edits to Fila Brasileiro as they were a copy violation of the breed standard. Simply cutting and pasting large chunks of text into Wikipedia from websites is not allowed and I've had to change the article back to the way it was before. Please see Wikipedia:Copy-paste for details on the Wikipedia policy for this.

However this is not to say that this information cannot be included in the article - the information needs to be re-written so that it is worded differently, and then have the website listed as a reference. Miyagawa (talk) 13:28, 6 December 2011 (UTC)Reply

Miyagawa,

I respect and will follow the guidelines, I was not aware of them before. The standard/definition that is there now for the Fila Brasileiro is not correct. That standard was made in the 1980s by the cbkc to match the dogs they were producing. The true and only recognized standard is the one by CAFIB.

Thank you Brasileirokid (talk) 17:44, 6 December 2011 (UTC)Reply

If there's two conflicting standards then it's fine to write about that - in fact, Akita (dog) is a good example of where this has occurred. However, that commentary needs to be sourced. Miyagawa (talk) 14:31, 12 December 2011 (UTC)Reply

Right, however the Akita Inu and the now Great Japanese Dog are 2 separate breeds with 2 separate standards. This article sides with the cbkc standard that is not even recognized by the Brazilian ministry of agriculture as their authorization to issue genealogy reports has been cancelled. Also the cbkc standard has changed and what is printed is no longer true. The CAFIB standard has always been the official internationally recognized standard for the Fila Brasileiro and the only one authorized by the Brazilian ministry of Agriculture to distribute genealogy reports on the Fila Brasileiro breed. If you would like I can link you documents from the Brazilian ministry of Agriculture confirming what I just wrote. Brasileirokid (talk) 08:05, 13 December 2011 (UTC)Reply

BTW the info posted on the legal tab regarding NYC having a ban on Fila Brasileiros is incorrect as well. NYC does not ban an breeds. the links only talk about certain breeds banned by the housing authority which is for project buildings (city run, low income housing) and does not include NY outside of said buildings. I removed that 3 times and 3 Times it was put back. Brasileirokid (talk) 08:12, 13 December 2011 (UTC)Reply
