INSTRUCTOR COMMENT

You need to put the geology at the front and also divide this up into sections so that people can understand the system properly. You need to tell us about the geological setting, the tectonic framework in which the basin formed and summarize the overall stratigraphy and structure. You will certainly need a diagram to explain all these technical words you are using in which essentially mean nothing to most people. Please be very clear about what the reservoir, source, seal and trapping mechanisms are. you should have enough detail about each section of the petroleum system to write a short paragraph on each topic. A location map would seem essential. Pclift (talk) 14:26, 4 November 2016 (UTC)Reply

After reviewing this rough draft on the Berlin Gas Field, my first concern is about the size of the hydrocarbon zone. However, there are not many articles on this basin so narrowing you scope may not be a good idea. Obviously, a good history of this basin during the Cambrian-Orodvician is necessary in order to set the stage of this article. I also think including tectonic events in the history/geology section so the readers can more easily visualize how this area came to be. In addition, mentioning how the salt layers and the source rocks formed and deposited it crucial for this article. Overall, there is a lot of good information in this rough draft and i look forward to seeing the finished article. Andrebenoit18 (talk) 14:46, 17 November 2016 (UTC)Reply
