Hello, BriFitDance, and welcome to Wikipedia! My name is Shalor and I work with Wiki Education; I help support students who are editing as part of a class assignment.

I hope you enjoy editing here. If you haven't already done so, please check out the student training library, which introduces you to editing and Wikipedia's core principles. You may also want to check out the Teahouse, a community of Wikipedia editors dedicated to helping new users. Below are some resources to help you get started editing.

Hi, and welcome

edit

Hello, good to have you "on board". I reverted your edit on the Monroe page because the word changed is part of a quote, so quoted material should be kept as is even if it seems incorrect. Saw you're involved in studies of popular culture, so you may be interested in the Popular culture page here and an ongoing discussion on the talk page (which I actually have to get to and comment on, there is a link there to a user talk-page discussion I was involved in). I'd actually suggest that you jump right in and edit the 'Popular culture' page along with your regular assignment if your can improve it (why not go for the gold!). Wikipedia is fun and addictive in a good way, and the good editors will stick around and learn from each reverted edit or criticism (although even some long-term editors will try to bite your head off or roughly ignore you, learning curves all). Enjoy, and good to "meet" you. Randy Kryn (talk) 03:29, 10 March 2020 (UTC)Reply
