Welcome to Wikipedia. Please do not remove speedy deletion tags from articles that you have created yourself, as you did with Ken Blum. If you do not believe the article should be deleted, then please place {{hangon}} on the page (please do not remove any existing speedy deletion tag) and make your case on the article's talk page. Administrators will look at your reasoning before deciding what to do with the article. Thank you. --ST47Talk·Desk 22:43, 22 August 2007 (UTC)Reply

Okay, I didn't understand. I am working on changes to the document. Dr. Blum is definitely a noteworthy person who has achieved much through his publications. So, please hang-on. Thanks.

Hi -- Could you please explain how you could have become the copyright holder for the image of Ken Blum featured on his article? It looks like a professional portrait, taken when he would have been rather younger than the 69 that one can infer from his birthdate that he is now, and is also the same as the image on his blogspot. I would expect the copyright to stay with the photographer or (if it was a work for hire) with whomever hired the photographer. —David Eppstein 01:34, 23 August 2007 (UTC)Reply

Unreferenced BLPs

edit

Hello Brianmeshkin! Thank you for your contributions. I am a bot alerting you that 1 of the articles that you created is tagged as an Unreferenced Biography of a Living Person. The biographies of living persons policy requires that all personal or potentially controversial information be sourced. In addition, to ensure verifiability, all biographies should be based on reliable sources. If you were to bring this article up to standards, it would greatly help us with the current 5 article backlog. Once the article is adequately referenced, please remove the {{unreferencedBLP}} tag. Here is the article:

  1. Ken Blum - Find sources: Google (books · news · scholar · free images · WP refs· FENS · JSTOR · TWL

File Copyright problem

Thanks for uploading File:KensPicture small.jpg. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright status and its source. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously.

If you did not create this work entirely yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, please add a link to the page from which it was taken, together with a brief restatement of the website's terms of use of its content. If the original copyright holder is a party unaffiliated with the website, that author should also be credited. You will also need to state under what licensing terms it was released. Please refer to the image use policy to learn what files you can or cannot upload on Wikipedia. The page on copyright tags may help you to find the correct tag to use for your file.

Please add this information by editing the image description page. If the necessary information is not added within the next days, the image will be deleted. If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem.

Please also check any other files you may have uploaded to make sure they are correctly tagged. Here is a list of your uploads. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. -- ТимофейЛееСуда. 17:12, 5 April 2012 (UTC)Reply

Request reason:

I am sorry that my statement came across as a legal threat. I did not intend to do so. There have been a bunch of lies spread about Proove and there are legal proceedings to deal with those as they are so easily disproven. Since someone who is trying to compete with Proove created this Wikipedia page on me personally to present me in a negative way, rather than the neutral objective that I find usually with Wikipedia, I need your advice. Every time I try to add information about myself that I can cite to credible sources, you or others take it down. Would you give me some advice as to how I can constructively post on Wikipedia? If I'm going to have a Wikipedia page, it should be neutral and objective, not posted by someone who is trying to compete with Proove to malign my reputation and that of Proove's. Thank you Randy for considering my apology and request to be unblocked. I would really, really appreciate your advice as to how I should handle this situation. Thanks so much for your consideration.

Decline reason:

First and foremost, as you state there are legal proceedings underway with regards to the content of the article, you cannot edit Wikipedia until the legal action is concluded. Full stop. If there are libelous statements in the article about you(Wikipedia highly discourages the subject of an article from editing said article, see WP:AUTO), please follow the procedure at WP:LIBEL. I am declining this request. 331dot (talk) 01:14, 24 July 2018 (UTC)Reply

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.
