Speedy deletion of State of Play (Conference series)

I have declined to delete it, as it does not all all fit under the specifications for speedy deletion under the criterion specified. However, I urge you to immediately check that it does not contain material from he web site of the conference or the other web sites listed, and, if it does, rewrite it in your own words. immediately. Please see WP:COPYRIGHT. And as for disambiguation--first write the individual articles under their proper headings--then write the disambiguation page--it's less confusing. You must have permission to include it under GFDL, or full public domain, not just include it in wikipedia. See {WP:Copyright. GFDL permits the use band modification of the material by anyone for any purpose, including commercial, as long as attribution is given. It is not sufficient to permit it for non-profit use, or only for publication here. Everything we publish is available for others to use--this is one of the basic principles. If that is indeed the case, then follow the instructions at WP:DCP:

you can leave us a notice to that effect on the article's talk page (or on your user page if your site covers a number of topics). This does require that your site have a posted email contact, or some other similar means for us to verify that we really do have the relevant permission. Someone from Wikipedia will then contact that email address to confirm the permission, and we will be able to add your site to a list of those from which our editors may freely draw.

But the copyright on the site is not yours, but c. New york Law School., and the confirmation must come from an official there with authority to give the permission. Not all universities will. If in fact you, rather than they own the copyright, you need to assert this.

But in any case some oft he text may seem aimed more at publicity than the neutral writing expected in an encyclopedia, and either you should rewrite it or someone will rewrite or remove it. DGG (talk) 17:18, 26 September 2007 (UTC)
