The only problem is the image that is currently there actually violates the BBCs own guidelines on the use of the logo. The BBC provide the images to help promote BBC services. If there is a better example of one of the BBCs logos that can be found and used, then it should be used. If the BBC provided a tiny 100x100px logo on the Media Bank website to use, would you use it? If you look at the media, there are a very limited few examples of where media from the website is used. Portal:Hitchhiker's links in article mainspace

Hi, I know you must have spent ages writing your Hitchhiker's portal, but can I ask you to go back and remove the links that you've placed at the top of all the Hitchhiker's Guide- related articles, please, as this is rather inappropriate on encyclopedia articles, and in many cases spoils the formatting of infoboxes, etc. This is particularly serious where the article is featured, i.e. the Douglas Adams page. I don't appreciate being labelled as a vandal, particularly as I did not remove the links to your portal, but spent quite a bit of time moving them to the correct positioning. I will remind you again that it is completely innappropriate to place a portal link at the top of a mainspace article. It might be sensible for you to read Wikipedia:Portal, in particular the section that says "These templates should be located at article ends in See also sections (or equivalents)." Please do not add an excessive amount of non-free images. This is one of the reasons why the article initially failed its first GA nomination. The length and depth of the writing about this rather trivial matter about graphics not adhering to physics certainly does not substantiate three non-free images. Reverted Vandalism

I've reverted a rather old edit on your user page that appears to be vandalism. It had the edit summary "revocation" and seemed to be "revoking" your TV Barnstar. The edit was made by an anonymous user from 212.159.103.210 (contribs) who had a history of vandalism (it appears to be a shared IP address). If this was not actually vandalism, I am very sorry, and you are, of course, welcome to revert my edit. It's the BBC's webiste. The BBC website is using it = its a BBC Radio logo. The policy reads Wikipedia is not a collection of unverifiable speculation. - even if it was speculation, it is verified. CR7 (message me) 13:29, 9 August 2007 (UTC)

CBBC Logo

Hi. I've been doing a fair bit of work on the CBBC logos: basically uploading old logos with rationales, organising them on the page etc. I was wondering if you'd mind me renaming your logo from 'CBBC Logo.PNG' to 'CBBCLogo2005.png', a) so as to be consistant with all the other logos on the guide, and b) as it's soon to be replaced with the new logo, so it'll no longer be current. If you don't object (as I don't see a way of moving an image), I'll re-upload it with the new name, copy all the text over, and nominate the first for deletion. Have you looked at the article? Someone else just put the new logo at the top, but I reverted it back to the old for now. The new logo's just being used in the logo section for reference - it's certainly not advertising. All I'm asking is if you'd object to your logo being renamed, to something that makes it perfectly relevant now, but will still be relevant once the new logo comes into action. I'm not asking for a rename to 'OldCBBCLogo' or something like that, just a more descriptive 'CBBCLogo2005', i.e. the year the logo came into action. _TheIslander 19:13, 14 August 2007 (UTC)

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. With regard to your comments on BBC Four: Please see Wikipedia's no personal attacks policy. Comment on content, not on contributors. Personal attacks damage the community and deter users. Wow, feeling touchy this morning are we? Please explain how one single word is a "personal attack" !!!! That sounds very dumb to me, but clearly I have to point out by using lots and lots of words that this use of the first word starting with the fourth letter of the alphabet in this sentence is merely descriptive and not a personal attack... And I thought Kerb Your Enthusiasm was a comedy programme, but it seems to be a way of life for you very good self.  BRIANTIST  (talk) 11:07, 19 August 2007 (UTC)
