Hi, I'm Gunnar Eberlein from German Wikipedia. I've just read your articles on Country History and I'm am impressed. That's really a lot of valuable information (I even started to import them into the German Country-Musik pages). I think I found a minor problem in the Grammy Awards paragraphs. It must be distinguished between the year of the Grammy nomination and the year of the presentation. The presentation takes place in February the following year, but the years normally refer to the nomination. That means your Grammy Awards texts are always one year shifted (You can verify this by comparing the information from various awards. They should be similar).

By the way, I have complete lists of all Grammy Awards (Country Music) and all Academy of Country Music in Wikipedia format. You can find these lists in the German Wikipedia under "Country-Musik" or I can mail them to you (send a mail to gunnar5499@hotmail.com) Regards, Gunnar 213.70.140.10 21:12, 14 July 2005 (UTC)Reply

Article creation

edit

I have been looking through the list of unwatched pages (available only to administrators) and found 1951 in country music and others. I see that you created this but were not watching it. You may want to go to your preferences and under the "editing" tab turn on "Add pages you edit to your watchlist". This will enable you to keep an eye out for any edits that are made to pages you create and help to revert vandalism. If you do decide to turn it on can you please drop me a note on my talk page so I can cut down my excessive watchlist (6000+). Thanks. CambridgeBayWeather (Talk) 18:37, 6 February 2006 (UTC)Reply

Cleveland steamer and school dinners

edit

Where in the world does a cleveland steamer refer to a school dinner? I ask only because there is no mention of a cleveland steamer in the school dinner article. Then again, it was just today that I learned there is an actual company (Cleveland Range) that manufacturers a wide variety of steaming products known generically as "cleveland steamers". Silensor 21:30, 11 April 2006 (UTC)Reply

Actually, I have NO FRIGGIN' IDEA (sorry for the caps, but ...), except that "hot lunch" is a synonym for school dinner and apparently also – to my horrifed surprise – synonymous for the sexual slang term. Honestly, you may want to contact the author of the "Cleveland steamer" article for a further explanation. All I know is when I typed "hot lunch" (a synonym for school dinner) in the search box, I get directed to this article on the sex act, not an article about school lunches. It sounds like an expert on the steaming product colloqually known as a "Cleveland steamer" may want to create an article on said product. Briguy52748 21:50, 11 April 2006 (UTC), with a minor edit afterward.Reply
Following the original reply, I have placed a comment on the Cleveland steamer talk page explaining the change. And not to worry; there is definitely no link to the "Cleveland steamer" article on the "school dinner" page. Briguy52748 21:50, 11 April 2006 (UTC)Reply
Update No. 2 — I have also placed a comment at the top of the page stating how "hot lunch" is used on this page, and that people wanting to go to the page about the school meal need to click on school dinner. Briguy52748 01:13, 12 April 2006 (UTC)Reply

No dispute

edit

Hi buddy. You mentioned me on http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Talk:Chuck_Cunningham_syndrome . Gee I never thought we had had any disputes? Maybe on jumping the shark where we discussed a few things, but I thought we were agreeing on stuff? I comented on something you added, questioning it, but I didn't delete or edit any of it. Anyway sorry if you thought I had any problems with your edits because I didn't; on that page at least I saw some of your comments and edits and agreed with many of them straight away. The one I had a query with I brought up on the talk page. Anyway no hassles. The Chuck Cunningham article got protected because a few days after the AfD, someone started a new article in its place. I initially liked that article and edited it a few times, but it quickly got out of hand, and with little in the way of reliable sources, ultimately I had to stand up and say it should be deleted if refs couldn't be provided. I don't think I actually voted delete on the AfD though, just stuck in a comment. Asa01 23:34, 17 August 2006 (UTC)Reply

I apologize if there was any confusion with the CCS debate article, and that's my fault. Just thought it was a little odd. You make a valid point about verifying items by external sources; perhaps we ALL - editors old and new - could use a little refresher on how to verify facts through external sources. :-) Briguy52748 00:47, 18 August 2006 (UTC) (BTW - I also apologize if I thought you disagreed with my edits; I see now that you don't, so no problems).Reply

Actually, I just noticed them and have added them to the "Whistle While Your Wife Works" pages. I just thought that the situation involving reverts was growing into an edit war (not a participant in, although I had done some cleanup and added several references before the edit war began) and thought temporary protection might be the appropriate solution (it's already been done to "Hell Comes to Quahog"). Appreciate your referring me to those pages, however! :-) Briguy52748 23:07, 15 November 2006 (UTC)Reply
Hopefully they can remain in some form, because that is basically what makes up the whole page and the only reason I visit this guide. Its one of the best around to find obscure references that are used, and you can easily click links to understand the true joke behind the idea Grande13 23:25, 15 November 2006 (UTC)Reply
Things seems to be fine now, as its acceptable now to put cultural references as long as its not just a retelling of the joke, so we probably should just let things be and see how they play out now, as there seems to be at least a temporary agreement to allow edits Grande13 00:08, 21 November 2006 (UTC)Reply

Thank you for your wonderful edit on Jamie Hunter Cartwright. May I just ask one question about the Matter of Faith episode? Had Jamie's father come before hand to help the people and failed? Then, Jamie tries later and fails. Ben then offers a helping hand and it works. The people are then happy with him? Am I getting this right? Just checking before I edit the article. Keep up your edits. If you are seriously enjoying creating pages about the Bonanza, you might want to consider creating a page for Sheriff Coffee; Virginia City, Nevada (a page where you might describe what the set looked like during the show); a page for the Ponderosa Ranch (Bonanza set) (there is one about the theme park...) and my list goes on. Again, thanks for the edits. ~Babygator23~

Idea for (year) in Country Music pages

edit

I think I've got an idea for a standard on the "(year) in country music" pages. Where it lists the "Other major hits", why not establish a standard for "other major hits"? How about listing only Top 20 (maybe Top 25) unless the song is otherwise notable? (e. g. for 2003, "Hurt" can stay, since it was Cash's last song). By the way, I'm the one who's been adding the peaks after each individual song on said pages. TenPoundHammer 17:02, 14 April 2007 (UTC)Reply

TPH — Actually, that's the criteria I personally have been going by, and I think it's a great idea. Somebody else has been adding in new songs, some of which had not actually even entered the Billboard Hot Country Songs charts. Of course, I don't have time to sort through this all, but I guess I'll have to make time. As for other non-top 20 hits, I added "Hurt" because — even though it never placed in the Billboard Hot Country Singles & Tracks (as the chart was known in 2003) — it was well-known, won many awards and was a No. 1 best-seller. I'll discuss further criteria over at Wikipedia:WikiProject Country Music as I have time, but the suggestion you have is excellent and one I'll use (at least in some form). Briguy52748

Fair use rationale for Image:ColumbiaCtryClassics1.jpg

edit

Thanks for uploading Image:ColumbiaCtryClassics1.jpg. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in Wikipedia articles constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. re: country and pop charts

edit

Hey there, thanks for the note.... I responded as well. I think a separate article for these songs is a much better idea. This could leave room for other future articles that focus on different genres and charts... sticking all of that in the main Hot 100 article would definitely make it too lengthy. - eo 11:46, 15 August 2007 (UTC)Reply

Template:CurrentSingles TFD

edit

Hi, I have left a response on the TFD page for this template. To say the arguments for deletion are "I don't like it", is slightly disrespectful in my opinion, as there are some (at least somewhat) convincing responses. Dave101talk  10:06, 2 September 2007 (UTC)Reply

 • Dave101 — I have left a response on the talk page. Basically, I was referring to the two contribtors who said simply "not useful" and did not give any reasoning, which is an argument to avoid. The other "delete" remarks were fine and made sound arguments, so even though I disagree with them, I have no argument with them. Sorry if there was any confusion. Briguy52748 21:35, 2 September 2007 (UTC)Reply
Ok that's fair enough. I thought you were referring to all the delete votes. I agree some haven't backed up their arguments. Dave101talk  11:39, 3 September 2007 (UTC)Reply

Special Treat

edit

A prod template has been added to the article Special Treat, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but this article may not satisfy Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and the deletion notice explains why (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may contest the proposed deletion by removing the dated prod notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page. Also, please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. If you endorse deletion of the article, and you are the only person who has made substantial edits to the page, please tag it with db-author. B. Wolterding 13:53, 13 September 2007 (UTC)Reply

Notability of Pure Love

edit

A tag has been placed on Pure Love requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done because the article appears to be about a person, group of people, band, club, company, or web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not indicate the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable. If this is the first page you created, you may want to consult WP:Your first article.

If you think that you can assert the notability of the subject, you may contest the deletion by adding hangon to the top of the page (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the article's talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would confirm the subject's notability under Wikipedia guidelines.

For guidelines on specific types of articles, you may want to check out our criteria for biographies, for web sites, for bands, or for companies. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. Sunny910910 (talk|Contributions) 00:18, 18 December 2007 (UTC)Reply

Anne Murray

edit

Hello, Briguy52748! I noticed that you recently created the page for "Shadows in the Moonlight", to which I added the category I've been expanding lately, Billboard Hot Adult Contemporary Tracks #1 singles. I wanted to let you know that I just created a page for another of her songs, "Broken Hearted Me", which also went #1 AC as well as #1 Country, so I thought you might wish to add the succession box and any other info you have access to (I'm not quite that knowledgable yet...) I also have a question: my reference for the AC chart info has been Joel Whitburn's Billboard Book of Top 40 Hits, which lists beneath every song if it went to #1 on AC, Country or R&B. Anyway, his book shows 6 #1 AC hits for Murray: "Snowbird", "Danny's Song", "I Just Fall In Love Again", "Shadows...", "Broken...", and "Daydream Believer". It lists "A Love Song" and "You Won't See Me" as hitting the Top 40, but not as going to #1 AC. I noticed you created the page for "A Love Song" and wrote the part about it being her third #1 AC hit, but I'm not sure that's right. Were you going off the Anne Murray discography page? I don't know how to verify where those two songs peaked on the AC chart, I just tried billboard.com and it didn't help much. I thought I'd ask if you had a source that could verify that before I took anything out, since if the two songs didn't make #1 AC I don't want them to be added to the category I mentioned above. Sorry so long-winded - thanks! Zephyrnthesky (talk) 22:50, 10 July 2008 (UTC)Reply

Zephyrnthesky — Thanks for the article. I did some re-writing, so don't be offended about the edits. I have added the succession box, and I'll share a few more details with you about that later (or just ask another editor who's schooled in succession boxes). Briguy52748 (talk) 12:28, 11 July 2008 (UTC)Reply
Hello again, Briguy. Someday I'll get a source for the AC non-#1 hits (I think there's a Billboard book specializing in that). I edited "Broken Hearted Me" again and mentioned the Canadian chart positions from her discography page, but I'm not sure how to verify those either. I also changed 5th overall to 7th overall, since "Snowbird" and "Danny's Song" went #1 AC, and if you say overall, that implies all of the charts, not just Pop and Country. I hope that that's OK with everyone, including you. I'll learn succession boxes someday, but I had noticed that you were adding those to Country #1 songs, so I thought I'd let you know about my creation of the relevant page. Thanks. Zephyrnthesky (talk) 19:07, 11 July 2008 (UTC)Reply
Zephyrnthesky — I guess I was thinking of just country and Hot 100 charts; good point about including the AC No. 1s as well. If you're able to verify all-Billboard chart No. 1s, please by all means do. Briguy52748 (talk) 20:01, 11 July 2008 (UTC)Reply

RE: Hogan

edit

Thank you for the compliment, but the article is far from ready to be nominated. 1) The lead needs to be longer and a better summary of the overall article. 2) There are unsourced claims and citation needed tags. 3) Only a few of the references have been proven reliable by WP:RS. 4) It is still far too long and should be written more in summary style. Hopefully, this time there will be a better outcome, regardless of whether it becomes a featured article. Briguy52748 (talk) 18:58, 17 August 2008 (UTC)Reply

Wikiproject Country Music

edit

Do you get the feeling that the country music wikiproject is kind of dead? I've seen no activity there for months now. I'm almost tempted to MFD it, seeing as the founder and several other major contributors are no longer editing. Ten Pound Hammer and his otters • (Broken clamshellsOtter chirpsHELP) 12:32, 26 September 2008 (UTC)Reply

TenPoundHammer — I think you're jumping the gun a little here with the MFD temptation. Sure, there hasn't been too much activity lately (regretably), and part of that is my fault. But please be patient and new articles will be added again. Some of us are busy and others just haven't thought of any good articles to add lately. Keep the faith — we will add articles again in time. Briguy52748 (talk) 12:36, 26 September 2008 (UTC)Reply

Country wikiproject

edit

"There is still a great deal of work to do on articles." Then how come nobody's doing it? 70+ editors, and not a single one can ever be arsed? I've asked many people many times for help, and besides stub creation and three or four pictures, I've gotten nowhere. Out of all the editors on this project, I seem to be a.) the only one who actually writes and copy edits country music articles regularly, and b.) the only one who's contributed to a GA related to country (of which there are a whopping three). Yes, it can be useful, but it's never really gone anywhere. It's a permanently stalled project for which nobody seems to care except you and me, and I think few would miss it if it were deleted or merged into the main music wikiproject. Ten Pound Hammer and his otters • (Broken clamshellsOtter chirpsHELP) 00:13, 19 November 2008 (UTC)Reply

TenPoundHammer — please calm down. I am sure there are people out there who care about this project. I myself rarely seem to have time to edit country music-related articles; it surely is not because I don't care. I am going to continue to do my best for hte good of WikiPedia and the project, assuming it remains active and even if it doesn't That is why I decided to unblank the page. Until such time that the project is permanently disbanded, it should remain that way; others still may be interested in joining the group. Briguy52748 (talk) 02:55, 19 November 2008 (UTC)Reply

By the way, could you please help me recruit new members that will, you know, actually do something instead of letting the project stagnate even further? I have no idea where to start because no one ever touches the country music articles outside of five or six editors and IPs. Album categories

edit

I've noticed that many albums are categorized by producer. One category that I find particularly useless is Category:Albums produced by Richard Landis since he has zero notability per WP:N (no sources found). We've been trying to establish how to improve the tree of albums-by-producer categories, and whether or not a red link producer should have a category. You can voice your opinion here if you want, and at the CfD for Landis' category. Ten Pound Hammer and his otters • (Broken clamshellsOtter chirpsHELP) 19:40, 19 November 2008 (UTC)Reply

Well, I appreciate knowing, but I usually am puzzled when I receive messages like this. Usually, I could care less if an article I have been involved with editing is afd'ed. That's just me. In any case, FWIW, I've been considering adding a couple of sources to this article, so give me time to get them and properly source some of the statements, the article can be salvaged. Bear in mind I have not read the afd reasoning as I type this, so you'll likely see a response from me there. Thanks! Briguy52748 (talk) 18:40, 23 September 2009 (UTC)Reply

ibid

edit

Just a suggestion: ibid is probably not a good sourcing method on wikipedia, as sources can be added between your existing sources easily and people probably won't change the ibids.

What you should do is use the tag: [Ref name=Whatever]John Smith, Title...[/Ref] and then in the future use simply [Ref name=Whatever/]. This will achieve the multiple-cite style for wikipedia (oh, and use <> brackets, not [] as I just did for display purposes). Thanks for the cites!TheHYPO (talk) 14:29, 24 September 2009 (UTC)Reply

Thanks again. I think the only active game left is Stack the Deck. Do you want to take a shot at it? The rules are complicated enough that I'm not sure how to summarize it briefly. The Brady Bunch

edit

Thanks for your help on the episode summaries on the List of The Brady Bunch episodes! I have been working to get this to FL, but have not seen the episodes in ages. I am trying to use two books as sources: Bradymania and Growing Up Brady (written by Barry Williams). However, Bradymania only has 2 sentence summaries, and while Growing Up Brady has more fleshed out summaries, they tend to be snarky and focus more on Barry's character and his behind-the-scenes memories. Funny enough, I have found that some of these summaries are actually contradictory to each other! I do not have access to the actual episodes, so any help you can give is very greatly appreciated! Jrh7925 (talk) 02:04, 2 March 2010 (UTC)Reply

And, I might point out, not all of Barry Williams' summaries are accurate. As an avid Brady fan many years ago, I actually memorized most of these episodes and I knew that by watching them and then comparing them to "Growing Up Brady," my recollections were more accurate (for instance, one episode saw Barry's character, Greg, buy a junked 1956 Chevrolet convertible, whereas in "GUB," he said it was a Volkswagen!). In any case, thanks for the compliment, and I'll continue to try to help out as I get time. Please remember, though, that I don't want these summaries to get too long, or else that might work against WP:FL nomination. Briguy52748 (talk) 03:21, 2 March 2010 (UTC)Reply
Hmmm... maybe I will go out and get the DVD set, just to rewatch these episodes. As for length, I 100% agree. My goal has been between three and four strong sentences per episode, not counting guest stars and notes. I will continue to flesh out based on the books (also to keep the FL from not going stale), but please, please correct anything that I may write wrong (no obligation, obviously!) Signs song lyrics

edit

Hi there! I saw your recent edit to the article Signs (Five Man Electrical Band song). Well I think it's well written, and for the most part a straight-forward description of the lyrics, the parts remarking on social change and the protagonist "being a hippie" do not, to the best of my knowledge, derive from the lyrics. I was wondering if you have a particular source you're working from, or if it's just your interpretation. As it happens, I would agree with the interpretation, but that really doesn't matter. Wikipedia generally prohibits adding our own interpretations. Ideally, anyone should be able to go to some book or article or something, and verify what is written. Please comment. Thanks. —DragonHawk (talk|hist) 22:48, 19 March 2010 (UTC)Reply

I might have a comment later about where the "hippie," etc. comments come from, so hang on for now. And yes, for the record, I'm aware of the WP:OR (although I think the policy you're thinking of might better fit Neutral point of view). Briguy52748 (talk) 02:53, 20 March 2010 (UTC)Reply

The article Cover Up (pricing game) has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Unsourced since November 2007

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the dated prod notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing dated prod will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. You are now a Reviewer

edit

Hello. Your account has been granted the "reviewer" userright, allowing you to review other users' edits on certain flagged pages. Pending changes, also known as flagged protection, will be commencing a two-month trial at approximately 23:00, 2010 June 15 (UTC).

Reviewers can review edits made by users who are not autoconfirmed to articles placed under flagged protection. Flagged protection is applied to only a small number of articles, similarly to how semi-protection is applied but in a more controlled way for the trial.

When reviewing, edits should be accepted if they are not obvious vandalism or BLP violations, and not clearly problematic in light of the reason given for protection (see Wikipedia:Reviewing process). More detailed documentation and guidelines can be found here.

If you do not want this userright, you may ask any administrator to remove it for you at any time. Courcelles (talk) 19:07, 15 June 2010 (UTC)Reply

"Lookin' for Love"

edit

Did you write the original article here?:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lookin'_for_Love

If so, thank you as I’ve always loved this song. It seems to have a fascinating story behind it and to that effect I left a talk page note (the first and only one thus far) regarding it and asking if you could possibly elaborate on it and/or clarify certain matters. If so, I’d be appreciative as I find it most interesting.

Speedy deletion nomination of Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Combat (Atari 2600)

edit

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

Thank you for experimenting with Wikipedia. Your test worked, and the page that you created has been or soon will be deleted. Please use the sandbox for any other tests you want to do. Take a look at the welcome page if you would like to learn more about contributing to our encyclopedia.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding hang on to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion, or "db", tag; if no such tag exists, then the page is no longer a speedy delete candidate and adding a hang-on tag is unnecessary), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, you can contact one of these administrators to request that the administrator userfy the page or email a copy to you. Mhiji 22:40, 12 January 2011 (UTC)Reply

This notice surprises me. It's been quite a while -- six years -- since I created my first article. I didn't even remember creating this article, and had assumed it had been deleted a long long time ago ... which wouldn't have bothered me, as there already was an article covering the Atari 2600 game Combat and I had been unaware of the other article's existance. Thanks anyway for the message. (And for the record, no, I do not do test edits.)Briguy52748 (talk) 17:15, 20 January 2011 (UTC)Reply
Incidentally, I'd like to know when the article "Combat (Atari 2600)" was created, if it's possible to provide that information. Thanks. Briguy52748 (talk) 17:17, 20 January 2011 (UTC)Reply

Proposed deletion of Sounds of the '90s (Time-Life Music)

edit

The article Sounds of the '90s (Time-Life Music) has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

non-notable compilation album series from Time-Life music. no reliable sources, no signifant coverage. fails WP:NALBUMS

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Nomination of Cliff Hangers for deletion

The article will be discussed at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Cliff Hangers (3rd nomination) until a consensus is reached, and anyone is welcome to contribute to the discussion. The nomination will explain the policies and guidelines which are of concern. The discussion focuses on good quality evidence, and our policies and guidelines.

"Lookin' for Love"

edit

You might recall that about a year and a half ago I inquired about the information in your article concerning the country music hit “Lookin’ for Love.” I asked if you might elaborate and explain certain assertions that did not seem credible to me. You were kind enough to respond but couldn’t at that time provide any answers.

I don’t know if you are aware of this, but subsequently two of the song’s three co-writers apparently found the article on their own (I never did email Mr. Morrison as I indicated I had intended to at the time) and made corrections and additions, which I thought most considerate of them. I made a brief addendum to my last post on the talk page if you’d care to read it.

Thanks again for being the original author of the article and getting the ball rolling. I have appreciated this country music gem ever since I first heard it and am therefore most interested in its history! Best regardsHistoryBuff14 (talk) 23:31, 6 June 2012 (UTC)Reply

Invitation to wikiFeed

edit

Hi Briguy52748,

I'm part of a team that is researching ways to help Wikipedia editors find interesting content to contribute to Wikipedia. More specifically, we are investigating whether content from news sources can be used to enhance Wikipedia editing. We have created a tool, called wikiFeed, that allows you to specify Twitter and/or RSS feeds from news sources that are interesting to you. wikiFeed then helps you make connections between those feeds and Wikipedia articles. We believe that using this tool may be a lot of fun, and may help you come up with some ideas on how to contribute to Wikipedia in ways that interest you. Please participate! To do so, complete this survey and follow this link to our website. Once you're there, click the "create an account" link to get started.

For more information about wikiFeed, visit our project page. If you have any questions, please feel free to ask via my talk page, or by email at wikifeedcc@gmail.com. We appreciate your time and hope you enjoy playing with wikiFeed!

Thanks. I was attempting to finish undoing vandalism (the previous attempt had left something dangling). Evidently I must have hit the wrong button and instead re-instated the original vandalism. Oops. Tarl N. (discuss) 21:59, 19 December 2016 (UTC)Reply

Hello. It appears your talk page is becoming quite lengthy and is in need of archiving. According to Wikipedia's user talk page guidelines; "Large talk pages become difficult to read, strain the limits of older browsers, and load slowly over slow internet connections. As a rule of thumb, archive closed discussions when a talk page exceeds 75 KB or has multiple resolved or stale discussions." - this talk page is 176.5 KB. See Help:Archiving a talk page for instructions on how to manually archive your talk page, or to arrange for automatic archiving using a bot. If you have any questions, place a help me notice on your talk page, or go to the help desk. Thank you. Jax 0677 (talk) 16:17, 30 October 2019 (UTC)Reply
