To upload images or files, you have to be autoconfirmed, meaning 4 days of experience, and at least 10 edits. After that, a link should pop up the toolbox of the sidebar on the left which says "Upload file." Click that and follow directions to upload files. Be sure that the images/files you upload are not copyright violations or in violation of the image usage policy. If they are not freely available (e.g. public domain), then you must provide a fair use rationale, or it will be deleted. It's always good to be careful, so don't worry about being too cautious here on Wikipedia, but you can also be bold. To sign a post, just add four tildes (~) to the end of your post (e.g. ~~~~.
