Hi, Bromels! I've restored the article in question. Such stubs do indeed meet our criteria for inclusion and I don't think this speedy deletion was warranted. I have added a bit of information, though, to give you an idea of what might be included to avoid this problem in the future. You could certainly at least mention where the species is native or endemic to and inclusion of a reference might be helpful. Let me know if there's anything I can do to help as you figure out how to navigate and build articles on Wikipedia. To start, you can take note of some of the changes I made on the Pepinia bulbosa article to get an idea of what's typically expected of new plant articles. Cultivar articles

Hi, Bromels! Wow, you've been prolific in article creation. Nice job! I did wonder if perhaps you could take the time to move all the new cultivar articles you created to the format that includes the quotes, e.g. like I just did with Tillandsia Wo to Tillandsia 'Wo'. Most of our cultivar articles follow that format, though there's no specific convention spelled out anywhere. And I gather that this format is typical for most horticultural trades - is it different for Bromeliaceae? I know the orchid trade has some specific nomenclatural conventions... Sounds like a plan. I don't mean to impose, but since you seem like such a Bromeliaceae expert, would you mind terribly if I sent you a few photos to identify? I've been put in charge of labeling the greenhouse collection at work and I'm stumped on the bromeliads. They're likely common and easy to ID as they're probably from hardware or grocery stores. I know at least in the carnivorous plant trade, there are only a few common cultivars sold in these places. Feel free to decline if you're swamped with other work! I've located a large number of apparently non-notable cultivars with no significant coverage and no suitable redirect target. Based on that, I intend to PROD tag a number of them. In the interests of not spamming this talk page with dozens more notices, I'm leaving this note here for documentation. The rationale will all be the same: "Non-notable cultivar. Cultivars are not presumed notable in the same manner that natural species are. I was not able to locate any significant (ie non-database/non-trivial) coverage indicating that this particular hybrid cultivar is notable. It would be UNDUE to list all non-notable cultivars at the genus page, so it's not suitable to be redirected there." Per the consensus at WT:PLANTS#cultivars and the recent AfD Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Tillandsia 'Feather Duster', which closed with a unanimous consensus to delete: # cultivars are not presumed notable the way that scientifically described species are

1. none of these cultivar stubs, sourced solely to a database, have any independent coverage which satisfies WP:GNG.
2. merging to parent species is not possible for hybrids as a page can't be redirected to two pages
3. merging to a genus would fail WP:UNDUE and have the same WP:V issues as the standalone article 4) creating a list to merge to would also have the same WP:V/WP:N issues as a standalone article
4. Thus deletion is the best/only option for undersourced cultivars

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

Consensus has been established via discussion at WP:PLANTS and previous AfDs/PRODs that individual cultivars are not presumed notable in the same way as natural species, and must meet GNG to have a standalone article. Database and commercial catalog entries are not considered sufficient for this purpose. I found no WP:SIGCOV of this cultivar. None of the references here contain significant coverage of the cultivar named "Dr Who". The BSI Registry lists it by name and is reliable, but is not in-depth coverage. The rest don't even mention the individual cultivar, but are only used to verify other facts in the article.
