Images from Commons

Hi! Welcome to Wikipedia! Just so you know, there is no reason to take an image that is on the Wikimedia Commons and upload it locally here on Wikipedia to use in an article. All images on the Commons can be used on Wikipedia (and any other Wikimedia site) in the exact same way as images uploaded here. Just put their Commons file name in the article just like you would put the file name if it were uploaded here. Let me know if you have any questions. @BruinsFan8574: Hi. If you took this image yourself, you just need to go to WP:TAGS/FREE and pick a free license that you're willing to release your rights to the image under. Elevations

Hi - I appreciate your taking the time to update the elevations in the White Mountains articles. It looks like you're using numbers given in the AMC White Mountain Guide. Can you say how the AMC arrived at their figures? I assume there must be some new surveying going on, since they are different from what are on the published USGS quadrangles, which are usually the best source.
