Re: Napoleon 1

Hi Bryson,

I understand you removed my edit for Napoleon, and I think I understand your views. However, the very title especially his death should empower a reader to know what was going on in his brain. I know I was very surprised to learn the information I posted. In fact, when I first read Liddon's quote I disbelieved it and set out to prove it was fiction. It is not. I had to find out who Liddon was and when he lived, who he delivered his lecture to, etc. I have provided the results of that research from the original lecture to the research embodied in the footnote belonging to the the original lecture. By the way, I first read of this in a contemporary book, and that again is why I thought it was fake. I trust it will remain a part of Wikipedia.

From the editor This is the first issue of WikiProject Germany's newsletter. The newsletter is intended to help all members of the project to keep up with new developments and coordinate new collaborative efforts.	Other areas where you can help Assessment requests: Some open Requests for assessment need to be answered. To see new assessment requests as they come in, you can watchlist the assessment page. More task forces and subprojects: As this WikiProject covers a very large topic area, it is helpful to add more task forces that focus on specific aspects of Germany. Currently, we have a Mainz task force, a Munich subproject and some joint task forces with other WikiProjects. Any project member is invited to start a new task force. Suggestions for possible topics: Transportation in Germany German politics (the political system of Germany and the biographies of its politicians) German Democratic Republic Be creative! If you have an idea, just suggest it on the project talk page (don't forget to watchlist it). Categorization: Uncategorized Germany stubs need to be categorized
Project news Criteria for B-Class status: The assessment criteria for B-Class have been changed. {{WikiProject Germany}} template now has 5 switches, B-Class-1 through B-Class-5 that correspond to 5 easily checked criteria that an article should meet to be assessed as B-Class. The advantage of this system is that now there is a clear boundary between Start-Class and B-Class articles. Authors of articles that were assessed as Start-Class now get more direct feedback what they should improve to attain a B-Class rating. All of our B-Class, Start-Class and Stub-Class articles now need to be checked whether they meet any of the B-Class criteria. This is a major effort, and we need your help! If you want to help, but don't know how, please post at the project talkpage. Cities and municipalities task force A task force dedicated to creating and improving articles on all German cities and municipalities has been started and is looking for help.

Warning vandals

Hi Bryson109, many thanks for warning vandals as you did at User talk:Jermboy7. Could I ask you to substitute your warning tags on talk pages, and also to sign them? Also you might want to check out the new user warning templates which standardize the warning system and replace the older {{test}} series. Good luck, and again thanks for your help. First what is substitute? User Tools uses the 'test' template, why is it not being used anymore?. Also I never sign vandal's talk page's anymore, because it only resulted in my user page being vandalised. --Bryson^{{Talk}{Edits}} 02:30, 25 May 2007 (UTC)

Details on substituting templates can be found here. Basically you put {{subst:test}} instead of {{test}}. The test templates are due to be retired once the UW templates have been in use for a while, no doubt the User Tools will be updated in due course. Finally, you should sign warnings, even if it does occasionally lead to vandalism. First its just polite to identify yourself if you are interacting with another user in any way. Second, it means that if a user has a legitimate reason to contact you about the warning, they have an easy way to do so. Many new users are unaware of page history so can't find you if you don't sign. Thanks, Gwernol 02:38, 25 May 2007 (UTC)
