Just out of curiousity on your recent edit, are stage pin connectors not used in England? 48v 00:39, 23 August 2006 (UTC)
- No, we use either a 15a rated round-pin plug BS 546 in a similar configuration to our 13a domestic plugs BS 1363 (although our domestic plugs are square pinned) in older (and some new) installations and 16a plugs IEC 60309 in newer installations. Having worked in the US and the UK, I find Stage Pin and Twistlok connectors to be somewhat flimsy, but that's POV, of course.
- Interesting. Thanks for explaining! 48v 17:04, 23 August 2006 (UTC)
Hi! This might be far fetched, but do you (or anyone else reading this) have any ideas of how i get the martin show designer to work along with the hog 3pc when they both are installed on the same computer? If you do, would u mind send me some instructions on anders.hovnew@hotbrev.com? You would be of great help! -anders
- Worth a try, I guess. Not specifically, I don't know, but: If you try some of the forums listed on the Stagecraft page, that might be a better place to ask those sorts of questions. Bryson430 00:16, 8 December 2006 (UTC)
IA Spam
editRe your latest edit to Stagecraft, it seems to me that IA is a valid link in see also. Just because someone is spamming doesn't mean that everything they post is spam. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by StarX (talk • contribs) 23:04, 19 February 2007 (UTC).
- Thanks StarX. The reason i removed it is that an IP keeps spamming every stagecraft related page with that same "professional stagehands (IATSE)" stuff. If it had said: see also IATSE: Union for stagehands I could see a possible link, but you have to understand that this isn't the first time I've had to remove out-of-context spam from that user. If you want to reinsert it with a useful description (which it didn't have) feel free. The other thing is the person who does it keeps putting thier stuff as the very first item in the list, regardless of relative importance. A small thing, but irritating. - I understand your POV completely; I've re-inserted the link at the bottom of the see also list, using their name and not their abbreviation (it looks more encyclopedic that way anyhow) and a description. From the sounds of things, someone is a little too proud of their union card. --starX 16:14, 20 February 2007 (UTC)
- Nice one. It makes sense in the context that you've inserted it. Thanks for that. Bryson430 16:47, 20 February 2007 (UTC)
I removed the prod because that was a phenomenon I was familiar with in theater. I am not an expert in theater lighting, but that article seemed to me to be neither a non-notable term nor an uncontroversial deletion. You're welcome to AfD it if you disagree. Chubbles 16:38, 8 July 2007 (UTC)
