editThank you for your feedback. I appreciate your help. My goal is to name women who ran for office on Staten Island as there is no running list of this information. If you were looking to run for office, or writing on the subject, you might want to talk to other women who have ran, not just the ones who won. If I was only doing women who were elected the list would be MUCH SHORTER. The list is in chronological order.
In researching this topic for a forum, I found it difficult, and actually had women come up to me at the event to tell me they had run. I feel that this should be documented on Wikipedia and this is why I submitted this article.
I would appreciate feedback on how better to indicate if they have won or elected, as I thought that was clear in the text for each person listed.
