You seem to have messed up your link at WP:RFUP -- 209.6.238.201 (talk) 02:33, 30 September 2009 (UTC)

How? The page does not exist. I am trying to remove the title protection.  Btilm  02:35, 30 September 2009 (UTC)
OIC. You'd probably have better luck logging out and submitting your content to WP:AFC ;) -- 209.6.238.201 (talk) 02:38, 30 September 2009 (UTC)
Maybe. Hey-did you ever think about creating a wikipedia account?  Btilm  02:39, 30 September 2009 (UTC)
Oh, I have had an account on and off. All things considered, I prefer slumming. -- 209.6.238.201 (talk) 02:43, 30 September 2009 (UTC)
Ok. Just to let you know, if you use an ip address, I can track down where you live. Somewhere around Marion Street, Watertown, MA?  Btilm  02:46, 30 September 2009 (UTC)
There isn't a Marion St. in Watertown. But otherwise not half bad. ;) -- 209.6.238.201 (talk) 03:58, 1 October 2009 (UTC)

help

{{helpme}}When I type something such as {{wikipedia}}, the entire article shows. I am trying to do something so that when I ask a "question" (like on the Wikipedia:Requests for feedback article), I will be notified when someone responds. I will be notified with the new messages message (I will make a sub-page under my user page). To do that, I will need to monitor a certain section. Is there any way I can put only a section of an article on my page using {{}}? Whenever I put something like {{wikipedia#history}}, the entire article shows. What do I put if I want just one section to show?  Btilm  21:36, 4 October 2009 (UTC)

In short, no; it is not possible to transclude a single section of a page; it's all or nothing.
You can keep an eye on pages using the watchlist, or you can specifically ask on posts for users to drop you a note on your talk page when they respond - people often use template:talkback for this purpose, but of course there is no guarantee that they will.
Personally, I keep a 'note' of ongoing issues that I am dealing with - see the 'Notes to self' near the top of my talk page. You might wish to do the same, so I will explain how it works; I have a user subpage, User:Chzz/note, and transcluding that in a collapsed box on my talk page. The 'code' for that is as follows;
{| class="wikitable collapsible collapsed"
! Notes to self
|-
| {{user:chzz/note}}
|}
Also, to save me typing, I have added a button to the top of my screen, which lets me quickly edit that file, by adding the following to my monobook.js;
Chzznote = {
	ChzznoteGet: function() {
		Chzznote.ChzzNode = addPortletLink( 'p-personal', "http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=User:Chzz/note&action=edit", 'Note', 'Note', 'Make a note', '' );
		Chzznote.ChzzNode.style.fontSize = 'normal';
	},
}
I hope that this helps; if you need further help, please use another helpme. Cheers,  Chzz  ►  21:48, 4 October 2009 (UTC)

help

{{helpme}}In the previous section, chzz told me a code to make a button. How would I do that? i need a step by step process. Thank you.  Btilm  22:01, 4 October 2009 (UTC)

Assuming that you are using the default 'skin' which is called 'monobook', then you would create the page User:Btilm/monobook.js, and add the code shown above. Then you need to WP:PURGE to clear your cache, and the botton should appear at the top-right, just to the right of 'log out'.  Chzz  ►  22:08, 4 October 2009 (UTC)

help

{{helpme}}(look at last 2 sections) It didn't work. Why? I replaced chzz with btilm. Was I suppose to?  Btilm  22:17, 4 October 2009 (UTC)

Oops, sorry, you need another bit; please add this after the other code, and see if that works;
addOnloadHook( function() {
		btilmnote.btilmnoteGet();

	}
);
 Chzz  ►  22:22, 4 October 2009 (UTC)
It works! Thank you!

infobox

How would I tag an article saying it needs an infobox?  Btilm  01:50, 5 October 2009 (UTC)

Is {{Reqinfobox}} what you're after? Vimescarrot (talk) 01:57, 5 October 2009 (UTC)
Yes. Thank you.  Btilm  02:03, 5 October 2009 (UTC)

twinkle

{{helpme}}Where can I request for wikipedia to put {{reqinfobox}} in the tagging pop-up in twinkle?  Btilm  02:08, 5 October 2009 (UTC)

Twinkle is developed by a user, not by Wikipedia itself. To request a new feature, go to Wikipedia talk:Twinkle/RFA and make your request there. Please let me know if there are any more questions. Thanks! --Mysdaao talk 02:21, 5 October 2009 (UTC)

speedy

schools are not eligible for A7--see WP:CSD -- they are specifically excluded. Anyway, all high schools whose real existence can be verified are considered notable at WP, 100% when tested at AfD for several years now. I know it seems strange, but in practice it is relatively easy to satisfy the GNG for almost all of them, so this saves a lot of trouble. DGG ( talk ) 03:51, 5 October 2009 (UTC)

questions

{{helpme}}Ok. I have a few questions.

1) What do I do if an article is poorly written (i.e. no proper spelling, punctuation, or capitalization)? Is there some kind of speedy delete tag I can use?

2) Which Wikipedia page do I go to if I want to request a feature on friendly?

Thank you.  Btilm  21:03, 5 October 2009 (UTC)

1. No. Perfection is not required. Best solution is, of course, to fix it. Other than that, tag it with {{copyedit}} or {{wikify}} or whatever. An article should only be deleted if it is not possible to write a decent article on the subject - ie something not notable.
2. Wikipedia talk:friendly

autoreviewer

{{helpme}}

What are the qualifications to become an autoreviewer?  Btilm  01:43, 6 October 2009 (UTC)

See Wikipedia:Autoreviewer. Algebraist 01:46, 6 October 2009 (UTC)
Regarding your question on my talk page, I do not have any criteria publicly listed. However I should also note that I have never changed anyone's autoreviewer status, and I only grant fewer than a dozen rollbacker rights each year. Thanks, — Kralizec! (talk) 14:09, 6 October 2009 (UTC)

Do not change between varieties of English

Here, you edited a page and did nothing but change the variety of English. This is not helpful editing. Please refrain from doing this in the future. Irbisgreif (talk) 07:18, 6 October 2009 (UTC)

I did not know that there were two spellings of organizations. Thank you for telling me this.  Btilm  20:47, 6 October 2009 (UTC)
British spellings generally avoid zeds, whereas American spelling prefers them. Cf. Recognize, Recognise. Irbisgreif (talk) 21:04, 6 October 2009 (UTC)

two pages

{{helpme}}I have a subpage under my user page. When I am signed in, I want it to turn on or activate or something similar to that. When I am logged out, I want it to deactivate or whatever. How do I do this? Do I add anything to my monobook.js file?  Btilm  20:55, 6 October 2009 (UTC)

We (helpers) don't know what you mean by 'deactivate'. Do you mean the User:Btilm/note page? You can't 'deactivate' pages...everything is always there, to be edited by anyone. If you can clarify what you want to do, please do so, with another helpme.  Chzz  ►  21:12, 6 October 2009 (UTC)

Articles for Deletion

{{helpme}}Where is the Wikipedia manual of style page located for writing responses to articles in articles for deletion?  Btilm  02:02, 7 October 2009 (UTC)

Not MOS per se, but check out WP:Help, my article got nominated for deletion! Intelligentsiumreview 02:13, 7 October 2009 (UTC)
