Why can't I edit some particular pages?
Some pages that have been vandalized repeatedly are semi-protected, meaning that editing by new or unregistered users is prohibited through technical measures. If you have an account that is four days old and has made at least 10 edits, then you can bypass semi-protection and edit any semi-protected page. Some pages, such as highly visible templates, are fully-protected, meaning that only administrators can edit them. If this is not the case, you may have been blocked or your IP address caught up in a range block.
Where can I experiment with editing Wikipedia?
Use the main sandbox or create your own personal sandbox to experiment.
How do I create an article?
See how to create your first article, then use the Article Wizard to create one, and add references to the article as explained below.
How do I create citations?
- Do a search on Google or your preferred search engine for the subject of the Wikipedia article that you want to create a citation for.
- Find a website that supports the claim you are trying to find a citation for.
- In a new tab/window, go to the citation generator, click on the 'An arbitrary website' bubble, and fill out as many fields as you can about the website you just found.
- Click the 'Get reference wiki text' button.
- Highlight, and then copy (Ctrl+C or Apple+C), the resulting text (it will be something like
<ref> {{cite web | .... }}</ref>
, copy the whole thing). - In the Wikipedia article, after the claim you found a citation for, paste (Ctrl+V or Apple+V) the text you copied.
- If the article does not have a References or Notes section (or the like), add this to the bottom of the page, but above the External Links section and the categories:
==References== {{Reflist}}
What is a WikiProject, and how do I join one?
A WikiProject is a group of editors that are interested in improving the coverage of certain topics on Wikipedia. (See this page for a complete list of WikiProjects.) If you would like to help, add your username to the list that is on the bottom of the WikiProject page.

Wikipedia's technical logs indicate that this user account has been or may be used abusively. It has been blocked indefinitely from editing to prevent abuse.
Note that multiple accounts are allowed, but not for illegitimate reasons, and any contributions made while evading blocks or bans may be reverted or deleted.
If you think there are good reasons why you should be unblocked, you should review the guide to appealing blocks, and then appeal your block by adding the following text below this notice:
Administrators: Checkusers have access to confidential system logs not accessible by the public or by administrators due to the Wikimedia Foundation's privacy policy. You must not loosen or remove this block, or issue an IP block exemption, without consulting with a checkuser or the Arbitration Committee. Administrators who undo checkuser blocks without permission from a checkuser or the Arbitration Committee may be summarily desysopped. Drmies (talk) 16:45, 20 October 2024 (UTC)

Did you actually notice how many editors have noted how poor your editing/writing skills are? You are being reverted for very good reasons. Drmies (talk) 16:54, 20 October 2024 (UTC)
- Just realized that you reverted some articles back to the wrong Swedish flag đ. That's hilariously so backward. BucketAPC (talk) 02:10, 22 October 2024 (UTC)
"poor editing/writing skills"
editHello, @DatGuy
Could you send me an email with proof that I have the same public IP as the account I'm being acccused of being a sockpuppet of? I checked the sockpuppet investigations and didn't see my name there at all, which leads me to believe that Drmies might be taking advantage of his admin perms. Thanks in advance BucketAPC (talk) 03:00, 21 October 2024 (UTC)
- I have not checked myself but I have full confidence in Drmies' judgement. If you wish to appeal the block on its merits, the instructions are laid out in the middle part of the block template in the section above. DatGuyTalkContribs 13:39, 21 October 2024 (UTC)
- Is it possible for you to submit a SPI at least? With reasons such as "poor editing/writing skills" I really question the decision here. BucketAPC (talk) 14:37, 21 October 2024 (UTC)
- I checked myself, and you are certainly the same person who's previously been blocked on Special:PageHistory/Battle of Nördlingen (1634). The "poor editing/writing skills" is most likely a reference to your edits on that article. DatGuyTalkContribs 15:06, 21 October 2024 (UTC)
- The blocked users barely touched the article with literally just the infobox being changed. I expanded and improved the battle section by alot; and sure, my editing and writing skills may be poor to your standards as I may make a lot of edits, but that's because I constantly try to correct every mistake I find. The end-product of the article after a compilation of all of my edits are a significant improvement from what the article was. Wikipedians like Drmies that simply just decide to downgrade the article to a worse state just because they think I'm a sockpuppet seems entirely illogical to me.
- You have people voluntarily improving and writing articles for you (in this case, the Battle of Nördlingen (1634) article) and improving them from a stub-like article into something that actually makes viewers think that someone put in the effort into compiling a wide variety of historical sources to provide information on a significant historical event. Sure, my editing skills may be poor due to how many edits I made, but you can at least look at the article post-edits and see that the final product is a vast improvement from what it was.
- The fact that people like Drmies throw logic out of the window and voluntarily downgrade an article is the reason why Wikipedia is clowned on by academics and will continue to be clowned on. The fact that you are voluntarily downgrading Wikipedia articles is the reason why Wikipedia will always be hindered by its own users who struggle to grasp the logic of what it means to have people voluntarily work on and improve this project; "but oh no this guy is a sockpuppet suspect because his editing skills are poor. Let's revert everything in this article to a worse state." It blows my mind how these users are. BucketAPC (talk) 15:33, 21 October 2024 (UTC)
- Ultimately, if you desire to edit, constructively and collaboratively, you should follow the advice given when you were first blocked for sockpuppetry:
The best way for you to earn back that trust is to go six months with no further edits, then apply under the terms given at WP:SO. At that point, you'll need to directly address your dishonesty and explain why we can now (at least six months from now) trust you to be honest going forward. It is hard to earn back the community's trust after pulling a stunt like this.
By continuing to create new socks, performing a miniscule number of edits, and being promptly reverted and blocked, you are doing nought but digging yourself a deeper hole which will be harder to escape from. DatGuyTalkContribs 17:40, 21 October 2024 (UTC)- Funny how you are so convinced that I am a sockpuppet when you haven't even checked nor do you have any solid proof other than the low effort "poor editing skills" excuse you guys pulled out. "I have full confidence in Drmies' judgement." Cool, let's make arbitrary decisions because why not? Why need any evidence at all other than "poor editing?" Let's keep Wikipedia unreliable in every way possible, you're doing a great job people BucketAPC (talk) 01:56, 22 October 2024 (UTC)
- Two comments ago: "I checked myself". The editing errors is likely what tipped people off to the socking. "Hummelreich" translates to "Bumblebee Kingdom". I refer you back to my previous comment (which has been told to you on your older accounts). DatGuyTalkContribs 02:15, 22 October 2024 (UTC)
- Hmmm, maybe that's because I'm not German? I don't know man, gee, its hard to pinpoint the fact that I'm not German.
- As to "checking" I am talking about you sending me mail showing proof that my IP is the same as the accounts DavidDijkgraaf (the reporter) said I am a sockpuppet of (LogaemS and 2601:155:500:6BF0:15C0:E52C:3157:4E36). You still haven't shown any solid proof other than the arbitrary "poor editing skills." BucketAPC (talk) 02:43, 22 October 2024 (UTC)
