Speedy deletion nomination of User:Bumberry

edit

A tag has been placed on your user page, User:Bumberry, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to be advertising which only promotes or publicises someone or something. Promotional editing of any kind is not permitted, whether it be promotion of a person, company, product, group, service, belief, or anything else. This is a violation of our policies regarding acceptable use of user pages — user pages are intended for active editors of Wikipedia to communicate with one another as part of the process of creating encyclopedic content, and should not be mistaken for free webhosting resources or advertising space. Please read the guidelines on spam, the guidelines on user pages, and, especially, our FAQ for Organizations.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. 49ersBelongInSanFrancisco (talk) 05:21, 8 July 2024 (UTC)Reply

Your account has been indefinitely blocked from editing because it has been used for advertising or promotion, which is contrary to the purpose of Wikipedia. Also, your username gives the impression that the account represents a business, organisation, group, or web site, which is against the username policy.

If you intend to make useful contributions instead of promoting your business or organization, you may request unblock and a username change. In your reasons, you must follow all these steps:

  1. Disclose any compensation you may receive for your contributions in accordance with the paid-contribution disclosure requirement; and
  2. Convince us that you understand the reason for your block and that you will not repeat the kind of edits for which you were blocked; and
  3. Describe in general terms the contributions that you intend to make if you are unblocked; and
  4. Provide a new username.

To do this, insert the text {{unblock-spamun|Your proposed new username|Your reason here}} at the bottom of your talk page. Replace the text "Your proposed new username" with your new username and replace the text "Your reason here" with your reasons to be unblocked.

Please note that the new username you choose cannot already be taken and in use by another account. You can search to see if the username you'd like to choose is available. If the search returns that no global account with that username exists, that means it is still available.

Appeals: If, after reviewing the guide to appealing blocks, you believe this block was made in error, you may appeal it by adding the text {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}} at the bottom of your talk page. Replace the text "Your reason here" with the reasons you believe the block was an error, and publish the page. Cabayi (talk) 06:21, 8 July 2024 (UTC)Reply

Request reason:

Dear Wikipedia Administrators,I understand that my account was blocked due to edits perceived as advertising or promotion and that my username may have given the impression of representing a business, which is against Wikipedia's username policy. I apologize for any inconvenience caused by these actions and assure you that it was not my intention to misuse the platform. Disclosure: I have not received any compensation for my contributions. My aim has always been to add valuable information to Wikipedia, but I now recognize that my approach was misguided and violated Wikipedia's guidelines. Understanding the Block: I fully understand the reason for my block and I am committed to not repeating the kind of edits for which I was blocked. I will ensure that all my contributions adhere strictly to Wikipedia’s content policies and guidelines, focusing on providing neutral, verifiable, and encyclopedic information. Future Contributions: If unblocked, my primary contributions will be to expand and improve articles in areas of my expertise, particularly those related to web development, cybersecurity, and data mining. I will ensure that all additions are well-sourced and maintain a neutral point of view. I respectfully request to be unblocked and for my username to be changed to "People_Contributions". Thank you for considering my request. Sincerely, People_Contributions Bumberry (talk) 04:42, 9 July 2024 (UTC)Reply

Decline reason:

According to GPTzero, this is 100% certain to be AI generated. We don't consider AI written requests, we want to hear from you, not an AI, because you are the one who is blocked. Please write your request in your own words without the aid of an AI and we will consider it. 331dot (talk) 07:40, 9 July 2024 (UTC)Reply

Applying for Unblock and Username Change

edit

Dear Administrators, I personally understand that my account was blocked due to edits that included advertising or promotion links and not only that my username is also against Wikipedia's username policy. I am extremely sorry for the actions i performed and I assure you that it wasn't my intention to misuse this platform. As i understand the guidelines and rules of Wikipedia more I ensure you that the guidelines and rules won't be violated again. As of now I got to know in what all aspects I need to improve my article. I kindly request to give me one more chance to rectify my mistakes. I hope my unblock will be taken into consideration and give me permission to change my username to "People_Contributions" Thank you for reading. People_Contributions. Bumberry (talk) 08:01, 9 July 2024 (UTC)Reply

You need to format your statment into another unblock request so other admins will see it. 331dot (talk) 09:23, 9 July 2024 (UTC)Reply
It's doubtful that you will be unblocked to make edits related to your conflict of interest, at least at this time. We will first want to see an understanding of relevant policies, through a history of edits in other areas. Please see WP:COI and WP:PAID. 331dot (talk) 09:24, 9 July 2024 (UTC)Reply
