Please do not add original research or novel syntheses of published material to articles as you apparently did to WIWN. Please cite a reliable source for all of your contributions. Thank you. Apologies, but we cannot source to just what is seen; we must have a verifiable source as to what is seen on the station, and that requires good sourcing; our bare minimum source does not show this channel. Do not add this again without basic sourcing. Thank you. Nate • (chatter) 23:45, 26 November 2015 (UTC)
Please refrain from making unconstructive edits to Wikipedia, as you did at Template:University of Wisconsin–Milwaukee. Your edits appear to constitute vandalism and have been reverted or removed. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. Repeated vandalism can result in the loss of editing privileges. Thank you. 32.218.45.64 (talk) 14:35, 27 November 2015 (UTC)
WIWN
editI'm not saying 'don't edit at all', just that we require sourcing for network affiliations, and currently the sources we have show no subchannel. It will be added once a source is located, but we cannot source to TV listings; we've had many cases where stations have submitted completely incorrect schedules to listings providers which turn out to be something different or nothing at all. Wikipedia has sourcing standards that must be met in order to edit an article, and what has been provided doesn't meet that standard. Nate • (chatter) 01:17, 29 November 2015 (UTC)
Re: Your edit to my user page
editHi Clarence, re this edit: firstly please write messages on user talk pages, not user pages; secondly you're probably blocked when you edit without an account because you got caught up in the dog and rapper vandal block, so you must log in to edit here. Graham87 15:25, 15 December 2017 (UTC)
I am sorry about writing on your user page. I was only trying to edit things on the template for Milwaukee tv station. I now that you guys need proof where I get the information but I only see the changes on my television set in Milwaukee. Unfortunately I can't use it for my resource for the information why I edited the changes. The way I see that if there nothing in writing it can't be use. I love Wikipedia don't get me wrong but I hate to see stuff on the page that is not right and I can't change it without having proof in writing to back it up.
I would like to say that I am sorry for any changes that I don't have the proof to change it. Thank you for your time to write me back from last note that I have written to you. I appreciate it very much. http://clarenceschreiberarthour.weebly.com (talk) 01:03, 16 December 2017 (UTC)
WMVT
editThe audio channels are no longer on the air or offered. And even if they are still mapped they aren't broadcasting anything, so no point to have them in the grid. Also on January 8, WMVT is merging into WMVS's spectrum. Nate • (chatter) 03:46, 16 December 2017 (UTC)
- Hi. Thank you for answering my question. I didn't know that they are merging the 2 stations and eliminate some if the station. Is it includes the traffic one as well? How did you find out about them doing it in January? I am just wondering about that because it's the first time that I have heard it.
Thank you, Clarence
hi nate. I just click on the link that you provided and wow I will miss the traffic camera channel. I like catching up with the traffic before going out. Are they allowed to add channels in the future?
Thank you,
Clarence
I have a question for you when I look at the changes from pbs it like they are taking off the dot traffic cams which I think that it was 36.6. I don't know if you want to check it out or not.I know the 2 channels that you deleted on here bit I think the third is the traffic camera channel is also gone.
Clarence
- Yes, the traffic channel also goes on the 8th, they've confirmed it in multiple ways, including the link I gave you. Nate • (chatter) 21:23, 17 December 2017 (UTC)
January 2020
editHello and welcome to Wikipedia. When you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion, such as at Talk:Roundy's, (but never when editing articles), please be sure to sign your posts. There are two ways to do this. Either:
- Add four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment, or
- With the cursor positioned at the end of your comment, click on the signature button located above the edit window.
This will automatically insert a signature with your username or IP address and the time you posted the comment. This information is necessary to allow other editors to easily see who wrote what and when.
Also, please be sure to start new discussions (threads) in a new section. The "New section" tab at the top of talk pages can help with this. – voidxor 23:47, 20 January 2020 (UTC)
