File permission problem with File:Wilfride Piollet, Swan Lake, Paris Opera, 1977.jpg

edit

Thanks for uploading File:Wilfride Piollet, Swan Lake, Paris Opera, 1977.jpg. I noticed that while you provided a valid copyright licensing tag, there is no proof that the creator of the file has agreed to release it under the given license.

If you are the copyright holder for this media entirely yourself but have previously published it elsewhere (especially online), please either

  • make a note permitting reuse under the CC-BY-SA or another acceptable free license (see this list) at the site of the original publication; or
  • Send an email from an address associated with the original publication to permissions-en@wikimedia.org, stating your ownership of the material and your intention to publish it under a free license. You can find a sample permission letter here. If you take this step, add {{OTRS pending}} to the file description page to prevent premature deletion.

If you did not create it entirely yourself, please ask the person who created the file to take one of the two steps listed above, or if the owner of the file has already given their permission to you via email, please forward that email to permissions-en@wikimedia.org.

If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:File copyright tags#Fair use, and add a rationale justifying the file's use on the article or articles where it is included. See Wikipedia:File copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have provided evidence that their copyright owners have agreed to license their works under the tags you supplied, too. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log. Files lacking evidence of permission may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. You may wish to read the Wikipedia's image use policy. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. SuperMarioMan 00:25, 22 February 2014 (UTC)Reply

Wilfride Piollet

edit

HI Camille. Thanks for stopping by my talkpage. Are you still interested in working on an article on Wilfride Piollet? I see that the French wikipedia has a article on her at fr:Wilfride Piollet and there are several book references on her. If you'd like my assistance, I'd be glad to help. I could create the article so you avoid the article creation/approval process, and then you could add to it at your convenience. I'm not sure if you're aware of Women's History Month in March, and that some editors are working on dance biographies. The article on Wilfride Piollet would be right in step (LOL) with that movement (LOL). --Rosiestep (talk) 16:11, 25 February 2014 (UTC)Reply

Yes I am still interested in publishing the Wilfride Piollet article. Yes !!! I would highly appreciate your help ! Thank you very much for offering to give a hand. I am not too sure of how to fix the " Comment: No independent, third-party references to confirm or establish the claims of notability" on the page "articles for creation". Here is the link, as I don't know wheither you can see it or not. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia_talk:Articles_for_creation/Wilfride_Piollet I didn't hear about the Women's History month, but it would be very appropriate indeed !! :) What shall I do for you to create the article ?

Hi Camille. I've created the article Wilfride Piollet. Now you can expand it! Just remember, though, that you must use Reliable sources for everything that you add or someone may remove it. If you'd like me to look at something you add, just leave a note on my talkpage again. Thanks for editing wikipedia and for reaching out to me. --Rosiestep (talk) 03:07, 18 March 2014 (UTC)Reply

The article is certainly shaping up. The only change I made today was to move the bare External links to the article's talkpage. When someone is ready to incorporate their information into the Piollet article, they can do so and then reference their work accordingly. Would be glad to hear from you if you have other questions or comments. Keep up the good work! --Rosiestep (talk) 16:01, 6 April 2014 (UTC)Reply

Wilfride Piollet and categorizing

edit

Hi Camille, this is a reply to the message you left on my talk page about categories. It's preferable to use the most specific and relevant categories available; try not to use general categories unless there simply isn't anything more specific. Also, try to use only the most relevant category from within a class of similar categories. For example, Wilfride Piollet is a choreographer, so cat:choreographers is a better choice than cat:choreography; also note that cat:choreography is a container category for cat:choreographers, so she should not appear in both categories in any case. Although she does employ dance technique, she is not known for a particular technique, so that's not an especially relevant category. As for cat:ballet, it is a very broad category and therefore should have few if any articles in it (except ballet), so most anything related to ballet should be in some subcategory of ballet. For more information about categories, please have a look at WP:CAT, and keep up the good work! Lambtron (talk) 23:05, 7 May 2014 (UTC)Reply

Wilfride Piollet

edit

@JMHamo: A friendly FYI that I assisted CDesmarest in creating the Wilfride Piollet article in March (during Women's History Month, the 2014 emphasis being on dancers). We should have notified AfC that the AfC entry was no longer needed; sorry for forgetting that step. Best, --Rosiestep (talk) 05:32, 11 September 2014 (UTC)Reply
