Promotion on your user page

- Hello. I noticed you've restored your user page though it was blanked on suspicion of being advertising. A recent post of yours seems to imply that you are interested in having this page only so that it can be found by search engines. Could you please confirm whether this is indeed the case, or whether you plan to contribute to Wikipedia in other ways? Please also see WP:NOT#WEBHOST. —Psychonaut (talk) 09:12, 24 February 2010 (UTC)

editHello, i have three really important questions for you. The first is i requested a name change, and it was granted, how long before the ols name is gone completely? i see the new name now, but i want it changed everywhere, even in the messages. like right now, its saying that Tarelle is sending you this message, when it should be now reading CHAYSE.
Second. do you know how long before my page will be live? does it take a week? i'm ready
Last. Do you know how I would go about making the links on my page to be shorter without all of the symbols? its working but i would like for it to appear shorter or with a one word link.
Thank you so much in advance. God Bleess
- Your name change was made, but then you logged in under the older name (recreating it) and proceeded to make edits with it. You need to logout of the old username, then login using the new one. Regarding your "page", which page are you talking about? I don't know what you mean about the links on your page, either. ···日本穣? · 投稿 · Talk to Nihonjoe 18:41, 24 February 2010 (UTC)
- By his page, he means his user page. By links he means stuff such as [1] but he regrets tinyurl.com etc are not allowed on wiki. Kittybrewster ☎ 20:09, 24 February 2010 (UTC)
- Well, his user page is not ever going to be published in the form it was before it was deleted. It was [{WP:SPAM]]. URL shorteners are not likely to be approved or whitelisted again, either. ···日本穣? · 投稿 · Talk to Nihonjoe 21:00, 24 February 2010 (UTC)

HELLO. IM SO UPSET. FIRST IM A GROWN MARRIED WOMEN WITH KIDS WHO HAS A LIFE AND NO TIME FOR SPAMMING. THAT IS A LIE UNLESS I DID SOMETHING I DIDNT KNOW I WAS DOING. THAT IS WHY I ASKED FOR HELP OVER AND OVER AGAIN. THIS IS CRAZY, I WANT TO B UNBLOCKED. IF I SET UP MY PAGE WRONG, WHY WOULDNT YOU WANT TO HELP ME, LIKE I ASKED OVER AND OVER AGAIN? INSTEAD OF ACCUSING ME OF THINGS THAT ARE NOT TRUE! I ASKED HOW DO I SHORTEN MY LINKS, AND WHEN CAN MY PAGE GO LIVE THATS ALL. WHATS THE PROBLEM HERE. —Preceding unsigned comment added by CHAYSE (talk • contribs) 03:17, 25 February 2010 (UTC)
- I apologize for any confusion. First of all, please turn off the CAPS LOCK key; it's much easier to read what you're writing if you aren't shouting it. The first thing you should read is the conflict of interest guideline and the autobiography guideline. On Wikipedia, "spamming" is any kind of blatant promotional activity, whether for a product, company, person, group, or otherwise. This is the reason your userpage was removed: because it was blatantly promoting "Street Spirit".
- Now, in order to have an article on a topic in the main article space, the article must meet the notability guidelines for inclusion. Part of that is the requirement for reliable, third-party sources which can be used to verify that notability. Examples of reliable third-party sources include significant newspaper and magazine articles (including online articles in some cases), television coverage, and radio coverage. "Significant" means that it can't just be a passing mention; it has to be significant coverage of the article's subject. You may be interested in reading our introduction to Wikipedia, our tutorial, tips on starting an article, as well as our editing policy and how to edit a page.
- Once you have read through the links in what I wrote above, please let me know. It is a little bit of reading, but it's important information which will make it much easier for you to work here and contribute successfully. ···日本穣? · 投稿 · Talk to Nihonjoe 10:13, 25 February 2010 (UTC)
