WP:HAU, Status, and you!
As you may know, the StatusBot responsible for maintaining the status of the Highly Active Users was taken offline. We now have a replacement in the Qui status system. This semi-automatic system will allow you to easily update your status page found at Special:Mypage/Status which the HAU page code is now designed to read from. If you are already using Qui (or a compatible) system - great! - no action is needed (other than remembering to update your status as necessary). If not, consider installing Qui. You can also manually update this status by changing the page text to online, offline, or busy. While it is not mandatory, the nature of HAU is that people are often seeking a quick answer from someone who is online and keeping our statuses up-to-date will assist with this. Note if you were previously using your /Status page as something other than a one-word status indicator, your HAU entry may have been set to "status=n" to correct display issues. Please clear this parameter if you change things to be "HAU compatible". Further questions can be raised at WT:HAU. This message was delivered by xenobot 22:50, 8 July 2008 (UTC)

Orphaned non-free media (Image:3village.gif)
Thanks for uploading Image:3village.gif. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).
If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BJBot (talk) 05:23, 3 August 2008 (UTC)

Removed an external link from "Garry's Mod"
Why did you remove the link to the Garry's Mod downloads page? I think people would find it useful, I saw no need to remove it. Toneoyay (talk) 17:01, 8 October 2008 (UTC)
- I try to keep the links down to three, and only official links. I don't see garrysmod.org needed nor useful to a reader. Besides, Wikipedia isn't a collection of links. CWii(Talk|Contribs) 19:41, 8 October 2008 (UTC)
- Maybe not, but it is not mentioned on the official garrysmod website. Three/Four links barely makes the page a "Collection of links". Toneoyay (talk) 15:47, 9 October 2008 (UTC)

Megan Hill
- Thank you and I hope I have not wasted too much of your time. I have been editing for a few years now, and I was trying to show a young lady who insisted i write an article at Wikipedia about her how things work at Wikipedia (as you probably figured out by reading the article).
- You have my permission to remove the hang on tag, and speedy delete the Megan Hill article. But please don't comment on this permission that I am giving on my talk page, as she will read it.
- I am sorry if I have inconvenienced you. WitchieAnna (talk) 03:45, 19 October 2008 (UTC)
- No probem. Just next time make it in a sandbox and trick her ;) CWii(Talk|Contribs) 03:49, 19 October 2008 (UTC)
May I take up a little bit more of your time?
I also created articles on Sheri Cohen and Ann O'Leary with a similar intent to the Megan Hill article. Both women are quite notable, but I did not provide enough citations for Sheri Cohen, and did not establish notability for Ann O'Leary (Ann O'Leary is a role model for Megan, and is also the widely published senior behavioral scientist in charge at the Atlanta Center for Disease Control). But i did not establish this in the article I wrote.
- Perhaps a notice to come back with citatinns and more information would be appropriate on my talk page. But if you don't havge time, don't worry about it.
- I actually expected this to happen sooner on both articles, and when it did not happen as quickly as I expected, I created the Megan Hill article to try to make the same point. If you have ever had a bright yong girl, you will understand.
- Again, sorry if I am wasting a bit of your time, but a speedy on these two, one for lack of citation, the other for failure to establish notablity, would be appropriate. Thanks again. WitchieAnna (talk) 03:53, 19 October 2008 (UTC)

- I would recommend you stay civil and hold off on the insults. As I have stated numerous times which you do not care to read, any comment that who's purpose is to only convey one's opinion on the article, rather than improve it, is disruptive. I have not been POV pushing, only you have. I removed your comment, as it does not help to improve the article. The thread is constructive because it informs you that such activity is disruptive, and would therefore cause it to cease. It however, is not, as you have so far refused to answer a simple question, and have only responded with incivilty, and evasiveness.— Dædαlus Contribs /Improve 06:59, 4 November 2008 (UTC)

Your RfA
Hi CWii, I think you should withdraw your RfA. Last night you had 12 supports, now it's down to 8, and that's with a new person joining the supports. It currently stands at 8/17/7, which means that you effectively need 43 more supports without an oppose to have chance of passing. I hate seeing established editors closed per SNOW, thus am asking you to withdraw.---Balloonman PoppaBalloon 15:44, 4 November 2008 (UTC)
- And I just did this, oh well. CWii(BOO!|Eeek!) 15:46, 4 November 2008 (UTC)
- Sorry, despite my opposing your RfA, I wanted to let you know that you are a valued contributor to the project. I wish you only the best, and if you choose to run again in 6+ months, I will be happy to review your edits anew with a fresh set of eyes. Just watch your comments/edit summaries/etc. You might think it's clever and cute, but it comes across as "teenage." As a teenager, you want to show that you are atypical and more mature than your peers. Do that and I will consider supporting you down the road. Good luck.---Balloonman PoppaBalloon 15:57, 4 November 2008 (UTC)

Hi CW, while I did not partake in your RfA, I did want to offer some words of encouragement for a possible next time. Simply allow a significant period of time to lapse before your next attempt, concentrate on some content writing and forgo any activities that might appear sub-mature to other users (no, I am not accusing you of acting immature). Good luck in the meantime and happy editing to you. Cheers dude. Wisdom89 (T / C) 18:27, 4 November 2008 (UTC)

Would you mind getting him off my back, i'v tried to reason with him, i'v been as civil as i can when people fail to read things but then act liek they did, im done with him. Get him to leave me alone; before rules start being broken, --Jakezing (talk) 03:56, 5 November 2008 (UTC)
- You are the only person here who hasn't been Civil. You have called me several names, while I have called you none. First it's a hypocritical idealist, and now it's child.— Dædαlus Contribs /Improve 04:15, 5 November 2008 (UTC)
- I called you a child once because you did something stupid. Do not confuse words my boy, bad things happen from there. And your not exempt from rule breaking charges either, you claimed ot be trying ot fix a problem on the article and instead got into a fight unrelated to the article.--Jakezing (talk) 04:18, 5 November 2008 (UTC)
- It doesn't matter what I did. Under no circumstances are insults ever okay, now stop talking down to me. Do not call me boy, and stop with the breachs of WP:CIVIL.— Dædαlus Contribs /Improve 04:23, 5 November 2008 (UTC)
- Do you have tio start a war on this page? I came here ot ask him to get you to leave me the fuck alone. Yes, i am currently breaking civil, but sometimes, rules must be broken to get the point across.--Jakezing (talk) 04:27, 5 November 2008 (UTC)
- No, that is not how WP works. That's disrupting WP to make a point, and such is not allowed. There is no war, there is only simple facts. You insulted me, I haven't insulted you. Period. It is not so much to ask to stay civil. I can manage it, why can't you? Wikipedia is not here so you can disrupt it, I won't leave you alone because you have shown that you don't care about the rules here or why they're in place, and you have shown no regard at all for the rules.

- You posted a comment to a talk page to just relay your personal views on the subject., not to improve the article, as you have already stated, and as I have already stated, is not allowed as per policy, which you have stated you have no care for.
- I see that you were brought to attention in the eyes of the community before for civility violations. I am sensing a repeat of history unless you can learn that in order to play here, you mush follow policy.— Dædαlus Contribs /Improve 04:34, 5 November 2008 (UTC)
- User: Cody6 shows my history.I know the rules, I follow them mostly, i revert vandalism when i have time to. Your looking at only one aspect of me. I am like a multi-edged sword, only each edge is an entirly different sword at the same time. Now, I think CWii would liek if you stopped re-plying to me here, as i made this section to have him get you off me so i can have breathing room and not somebody threatning to ban me every time he edits my talk page. So, how bout you shut up, and leave me alone, and we cna be civil on a pre-determined location, liek your talk page.--Jakezing (talk) 04:55, 5 November 2008 (UTC)--Jakezing (talk) 04:53, 5 November 2008 (UTC)

- People are blocked for incivility, the fact that you follow some rules but not all is irrelevant. Wikipedia is a collaboration, and if you cannot play well with others and follow the rules, then don't bother trying to edit here.
- Again, you are incivil, I shall not shut up. You have been incivil to me for no reason at all. You made a disruptive comment to a talk page, which isn't allowed. You have shown you don't care about the rules here, you in fact stated that they were stupid,
- And I will not stay away from a thread about me, so you can stop trying to push me away, it's pointless and without warrant.— Dædαlus Contribs /Improve 05:03, 5 November 2008 (UTC)
- And again you miss the point of my comments. STOP EDITING THIS USERTALK, I am quite sure CWii does not want this on his talkpage. I keep it off mine ot keep my talk page empty, --Jakezing (talk) 05:06, 5 November 2008 (UTC)

- I'm sorry CWii i didn't want this to spill into a arguement; --Jakezing (talk) 22:38, 5 November 2008 (UTC)
- Then you shouldn't have tried canvassing. Ask for an opinion in the matter from an outside editor, but don't go around asking people to take your side.— Dædαlus Contribs /Improve 23:05, 5 November 2008 (UTC)

RfA thanks
It's OK
I can't help but feel really bad for you, regarding your issues. You may have failed your RfA due to a "lack of maturity," but I don't see how that would affect your ability of being an admin. I see nothing wrong with a fun-loving administrator, and I would have supported your RfA if I had found out in time. Here's a little preview of what I would have posted:
Strong support- An ideal administrator; not only is he a wise Wikipedian who knows what he's doing, but he's also fun-loving and willing to put a smile on the faces of others. And I really did think he was an admin! :-)
Regarding your "girl" situation, there are plenty other fish in the sea. Maybe someday you'll find another girl who means a lot to you, and she'll accept you. And for the next time Halloween rolls around (which, sadly, is not until next year :-( ), why don't you gather some of your friends in real life and have a Halloween party? That's what I would do. I do hope you cheer up soon, and that conditions improve. BTW, I've noticed that you've been using Friendly to welcome new users: click on the purple Ooooohh! at the end of my signature to find what we have in common.
