Pending deletion of articles you created.

Hi. Not sure if you have noticed, but some articles you created are nominated for deletion. I personally agree with the deletion per my comments at Marion Pop's Article for deletion page. However I just though I should let you know the reasoning behind these decisions so you don't spend hours of time on items failing the notability criteria for inclusion in Wikipedia. Basicall, for football players, it is generally considered they should meet the criteria outlined at WP:ATHLETE and as a guide ensure the also meet WP:FOOTYN. Outside these guidelines, a person passing WP:N guidelines would also pass inspection, but would come under severe scrutiny if the player does not meet the other guidelines mentioned due to the sheer volume of copy-sell articles written about sportsmen trying to keep the punters happy. Simply follow these links and you will see what I mean.
Please don't be discouraged by these articles being deleted and I hope you continue to contribute to the Wiki Project, perhaps by using your knowledge of Romanian football to expand existing Romanian footballer articles, or creating articles of the many notable World Cup participants that don't yet have an article - harder research some of the older ones but hugely rewarding. Proposed deletion of Sergiu Bus

A proposed deletion template has been added to the article Sergiu Bus, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process because of the following concern:

Player fails notability at Wikipedia:ATHLETE having never played in a fully-professional league/competition'.

All contributions are appreciated, but this article may not satisfy Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and the deletion notice should explain why (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised because, even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. jjmihai 20:56, 14 July 2009 (UTC)
