List of songs about the Vietnam War

I noticed you are one of the primary editors on this list. I thought you might like to know I've taken an interest in the list and have been adding songs to it. One thing I have been trying to do is dd a brief line mentioning what part of the Viet Nam war the song talks about, for example - a particular battle, city or aspect of the wwar. Aspect would include protest against the war, Post Traumatic Stress disorder after coming home etc. etc. I'd like to see this list grow and become a good reference source.Lisapollison 07:41, 17 February 2007 (UTC)

Dawson shooting(s)

You recently added a bunch of incidents supposedly-related to the Dawson College shooting. The only evidence I see linking those events is your edit summary stating that you "don't think it's a coincidence." 2006-2007 School Shooting Outbreak

I have added a "{{prod}}" template to the article 2006-2007 School Shooting Outbreak, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but I don't believe it satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and I've explained why in the deletion notice (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may contest the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page. Also, please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. Boogie Down Productions and Beastie Boys

Are the Beastie Boys somehow related to BDP? If not, they should have their own sections. Also, if the Beasties aren't quite gangsta rap themselves (most would argue they are not), it might be best to trim biographical info that doesn't pertain directly to the topic of Gangsta rap. / edg ☺ ★ 02:57, 20 August 2007 (UTC)

Guido (slang)

I see that you restored a whole lot of unsourced text to Guido (slang). Please provide sources to your claims of what constitutes a stereotypical "guido". Wikipedia is not the place to publish personal knowledge. If we cannot verify content (though citing reliable sources), that content can be deleted. Keep in mind, the burden of evidence is on those wishing to include disputed material. If you need to know what needs to be sourced, I'd gladly tag with citation needed tags, but if you check out the content you restored, basically all of that needs citations. "Nu metal would fall under alternative metal"

Nu metal is an umbrella term coined in 1994 and first applied to Korn. Alternative metal is a separate term. We can't remove "nu metal" from every article using the term on the basis that it was "covered by alternative metal", because this is simply not true. On the other hand, if there is no justification for this term's inclusion in an article, it can be removed, but in the case of Deftones, the term is definitely justified.
