A tag has been placed on CUH2A, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article seems to be blatant advertising which only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become an encyclopedia article. Please read the general criteria for speedy deletion, particularly item 11, as well as the guidelines on spam.
If you can indicate why the subject of this article is not blatant advertising, you may contest the tagging. To do this, please add {{hangon}}
on the top of the article and leave a note on the article's talk page explaining your position. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would help make it encyclopedic, as well as adding any citations from reliable sources to ensure that the article will be verifiable. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. Improbcat 14:19, 23 October 2007 (UTC)
- Before you make any further edits, please read Wikipedia:Conflict of interest & Wikipedia:Spam (especially the How not to be a spammer section). If you have any questions regrading them feel free to leave a message on my talk page. Improbcat 14:22, 23 October 2007 (UTC)
- First off, I did not delete your article. I tagged it and an administrator reviewed and deleted it. Since you work for the company it is a conflict of interest to make edits about it on wikipedia. And making edits or creating articles to promote a company is considered spam and also not allowed. Please read the links in my previous comment here for a more detailed explanation of the policies you violated that caused your article to be deleted. Improbcat 18:21, 23 October 2007 (UTC)
Sorry- this is new to me and I have read through the guidelines (yours and the Admin person who deleted the article). I'll make revisions and upload a cleaned up article. Thanks.
First of all, please put comments on my talk page and not my user page. I have moved your comment.
I deleted the article for two reasons. Firstly it served no purpose other than to promote the company. Wikipedia is a neutral, unbiased encyclopedia and is not here to promote any corporation, as stated in several links given to you above. Secondly, at least part of the article was copied and pasted off the company's website, which is copyrighted with all rights reserved. For legal reasons we cannot accept copyrighted material. The page met two of the criteria for speedy deletion and I was quite justified in deleting it.
The hangon tag does not stop people from deleting the page. It provides you with a short space of time in which to write an explanation on the talk page as to why the article does not meet the speedy deletion criteria. It merely gives you some time to argue your case. You had more than an hour to post an objection and didn't, so I ignored the tag.
If you can write an unbiased article about the company which shows they meet the notability criteria for corporations then no-one will try and delete it. Hut 8.5 18:36, 23 October 2007 (UTC)
Thanks - This is forum is new to me. Sorry about putting the comments on your user page. I didn't see where your talk page was and wrongly thought I was putting the comments on your talk page. I will read through the notabilty criterion and upload a revised article that is consistent with the notability guidelines.
