I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Please sign your messages on discussion pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically insert your username and the date. If you need help, check out Wikipedia:Questions, ask me on my talk page, or ask your question on this page and then place {{help me}}

Copy / paste
editWhile the National Park Service pages you have copied in creating your various articles are in the public domain as works of a branch of the United States Government, it is still not a good idea to copy the pages verbatim to Wikipedia for several reasons:
- These pages are not encyclopedic in tone -- their intention is not to provide a neutral overview of the place but rather to provide an enticing description designed to attract visitors.
- The copied text does not meet Wikipedia's manual of style for use of headings, internal Wikilinks, etc.
- Without giving credit to the original website, such cut and paste reproductions can be considered plagiarism.
Please take the time to write about these places in your own words. WikiDan61ChatMe!ReadMe!! 21:38, 24 January 2011 (UTC)
- Please stop creating cut-and-paste pages, as you did with Loew's Theatre after my comment above. WikiDan61ChatMe!ReadMe!! 21:43, 24 January 2011 (UTC)
