ahem
my recent change to the article, Mudgeeraba, Gold Coast, Queensland, Australia changed "Somerset, a highly acclaimed school" to "Somerset, a place where cars are keyed, lies are told, and children are framed."
this is exactly what has happened to me, therefore it is truth and not vandalism.

- Please provide reliable sources, make a criticism section and add it back. Don't if you can't find sources. You can't present yourself or your personal experiance as a source, if you do its called POV and will be removed. - Unpopular Opinion (talk) 14:31, 7 November 2008 (UTC)
Huggling
Once again, thanks for the reverts to my talk-page. You're doing an exceptional job. --Flewis(talk) 06:06, 8 November 2008 (UTC)

Not very nice to automattically remove goodfaith edits to remove unsourced PR PUFF material from a BLP. You should edit as a human being, not a machine. --96.232.22.160 (talk) 06:48, 8 November 2008 (UTC)
- You should go and read the messages on your talk page. Those reverts were done because you were removing 97% of the article's text and replacing it with a broken ref tag. Even if you were editing in good faith you removed a major portion of the article without explanation, 7 times without proper edit summaries despite being notified on your Talk page. That's disruption, and RC patrollers are here to stop this kind of disruption. We are not machines, we look at your edits and read the edit summaries before reverting anything. - Unpopular Opinion (talk) 07:01, 8 November 2008 (UTC)
- Why wouldn't you fix the reference, and allow the unsourced material to be removed? That would be a lot more effective, then using some power-control tool. --96.232.22.160 (talk) 07:10, 8 November 2008 (UTC)
- There are lot of vandals blanking pages, and they usually don't provide any edit summaries. Its not possible for us to judge if the removal of content was in good faith or bad faith if you don't provide edit summaries. Provide a short edit summary like "Rm unsourced" and I will quickly skip over your edit without reverting it. You didn't provide any such edit summaries. Also, its wise to stop editing and discuss with those who are reverting you once you start getting the notification templates. - Unpopular Opinion (talk) 07:31, 8 November 2008 (UTC)
- But I did provide edit summaries, didn't I? --96.232.22.160 (talk) 07:35, 8 November 2008 (UTC)

Your edit summary was "fixing reference" [1], it said nothing about removing the bulk of text. - Unpopular Opinion (talk) 07:37, 8 November 2008 (UTC)
Yes, but you did took out the categories of the article as well. For whatever reason if you are being reverted please leave a note on editor's talk page. - Unpopular Opinion (talk) 07:45, 8 November 2008 (UTC)
- Ok, but my point is that editors should LOOK at the edits they are making, not just use a fancy automatic tool, right? --96.232.22.160 (talk) 07:47, 8 November 2008 (UTC)
- They are not completely automated, we do look at the edits and then decide to revert or not. These tools are necessary to combat vandalism. - Unpopular Opinion (talk) 07:50, 8 November 2008 (UTC)
status
how do you get that cool status thing at the top? Wikisaver62 (talk) 13:54, 8 November 2008 (UTC)
- Just go here and follow directions. Basically you will have to create this page, add the template {{Statustop|link=User:Wikisaver62/Status|offset=40}} at the top of your userpage/talk page and importScript('User:Xenocidic/statusChanger2.js'); in your monobook.js. Then bypass cache and it should be there. - Unpopular Opinion (talk) 14:03, 8 November 2008 (UTC)
- Cheers. Wikisaver62 (talk) 14:12, 8 November 2008 (UTC)
- Wait, what do I so with the status page coz its just saying unknown at the mo. Wikisaver62 (talk) 14:19, 8 November 2008 (UTC)
You should be getting 4 buttons at the top of the page which read "online", "offline", "busy", "around". Click those to change status. If you are not seeing those buttons, bypass the cache (in firefox simply clear private data including cache). You can change the status manually too, by writing either online, offline, busy, around at the status page. See mine. - Unpopular Opinion (talk) 15:28, 8 November 2008 (UTC)
- i've done all that and it won't work. tabs there but don't work, manual wont work Wikisaver62 (talk) 15:35, 8 November 2008 (UTC)
I've edited your status page[2], and now your userpage displays "around" status with a blue LED. Make sure you bypass cache. What browser are you using? - Unpopular Opinion (talk) 15:38, 8 November 2008 (UTC)
Ctrl+F5 in IE. It takes about a minute for the status to update. Your status page is blank right now, put at least one of the four words or it will show unknown status. - Unpopular Opinion (talk) 15:56, 8 November 2008 (UTC)
All works now thank you very much. Wikisaver62 (talk) 11:40, 9 November 2008 (UTC)
Racism in the United States Page
Unpopular, i gave that IP a final warning and hes still vandalising it, what should i do now? DJ MeXsTa (talk) 16:14, 8 November 2008 (UTC)
- If he vandalizes after final warning, file a report at WP:AIV and admins will block him. - Unpopular Opinion (talk) 16:16, 8 November 2008 (UTC)
Just a quickie - when new users blank a page that they've created and someone else has subsequently proposed for deletion, it's generally easier not to revert back to the prodded version, but instead tag it for speedy under G, erm, 7...one author who has requested deletion or blanked the page. New users often think that blanking the page deletes it from Wikipedia. GbT/c 19:04, 8 November 2008 (UTC)
- First I reverted the blanking (thought its an old page and user is vandalizing), then I looked at page history, reverted my huggle warning from user's talk page and would have tagged it db-g7, but you deleted the page before I could do that. - Unpopular Opinion (talk) 19:11, 8 November 2008 (UTC)
"Ayush"
Hi,
I made an edit to the article "AYUSH"
I changed "hindu" to "Indian," because the name is given singularly to hindu people, but all indians. Also, the name is derived from sanskrit, an ancient indian language, and carries the meaning of "beasts." It is talking about demons from hell. Please revert your edit and your warning. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 24.130.52.117 (talk) 05:19, 9 November 2008 (UTC)
- Not unless you provide sources that 'Ayush' means deamon/beast. Ayush actually means age, duration of life. [3] - Unpopular Opinion (talk) 05:22, 9 November 2008 (UTC)
~where is your source for that?~ —Preceding unsigned comment added by 24.130.52.117 (talk) 05:26, 9 November 2008 (UTC)
- I already provided the source above, you missed it. - Unpopular Opinion (talk) 05:41, 9 November 2008 (UTC)
Hi. I noted that you reverted back someone's edit. I assume your good faith edit, as some source does said they are pronounced dead on 00.25 (I was the first one who edited the articles of those three terrorists post-execution, and I put 00.25 per a source), but other sources are saying 23.20, and then other said 00.15. Source from official General Attorney office said it was on 00.15. If you read regarding the timeline, it is quite different from site to site, with some saying they was taken out at 23.00. Some also said at 00.05. I'll leave you to decide whether to revert it back or leave it as it is, because I am not sure myself. w_tanoto (talk) 09:25, 9 November 2008 (UTC)
- Oh, yes. I saw the edit summary. I just actually reading a BBC News article regarding the execution. Seems all foreign media says 00.15. I also read Indonesian media. Kompas now says 00.15 as well. Antara (Indonesian News Agency) says 23.20, and detik.com says 00.25. So, I don't really know what to do myself. w_tanoto (talk) 10:07, 9 November 2008 (UTC)
Thank you
Thanks for your welcome message. I have started to work on pages related with Hindi poetry and poets. At present I am working on correcting the links to an external website, called Kavita Kosh, which is an encyclopedia of Hindi poetry. Recently this site has changed it's URL and thats why links already there in Wikipedia need correction.
warnings
I don't understand, my links are genuinely appropriate.
For instance, each link I just made refered directly a Dolph Lundgren film to te correspondent page on the Dolph ultimate guide website, nothing meant disruptive, just informative as are the links I provide.
Thank you. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 81.66.71.18 (talk) 14:55, 10 November 2008 (UTC)
- I agree with you that the link does not pass WP:EL. However I think this user is adding these links in good faith. Looking back at his contribs (the IP is not shared), I think a good explanation is better than a block here. Can you do it for me (I'm doing a few things at the same time, right now). (Your warnings, your mess ;)) Thanks :) -- lucasbfr talk 14:59, 10 November 2008 (UTC)

i am not vandalizing Adrenorsik's poage. he is doing that..— Preceding unsigned comment added by 71.72.81.230 (talk • contribs)
- You are putting warnings on his User page. [4] - Unpopular Opinion (talk) 04:37, 11 November 2008 (UTC)
- Sorry... Will you please stop him deleting the links, a well worked version of the article. He is pushing a new version of him and using her/his experience for no good. 71.72.81.230 (talk) 04:42, 11 November 2008 (UTC)
I can't stop him (or you or anyone) from editing. Discuss whatever issues that article has with him and others on the talk page of that article. You can also put a message his talk page. And there are other ways of dispute resolution. - Unpopular Opinion (talk) 04:45, 11 November 2008 (UTC)
