Speedy deletion of Molly Lewis
editA tag has been placed on Molly Lewis requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person or group of people, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, as well as our subject-specific notability guideline for biographies.
If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}}
to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the page does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that they userfy the page or have a copy emailed to you. Channel R 19:33, 15 April 2009 (UTC)
- I reviewed the speedy deletion request. While I think the article could arguably be speedy deleted, I also noted the obvious effort you put in, and there were claims to some internet fame. Erring on the side of caution, I changed the request to proposed deletion - in case you want additional time to work on it. I don't know if there is any more you can do - the article really needs more reliable sources - but I think you deserve the chance.
- You are free to remove the proposed deletion template, but that will likely lead to the article going to a Articles for Deletion discussion. Unless more reliable sources are found, I anticipate that the consensus will be to delete. Let me know if you have any questions for me.--Kubigula (talk) 04:39, 16 April 2009 (UTC)
Molly Lewis again. And a barnstar.
editHi. You've probably seen that the result of the AfD discussion was 'delete'[1]. Because I know it's a bit discouraging when your first article gets deleted, I'd just like to say that I hope this doesn't stop you from contributing to Wikipedia. Please recreate your article when Molly clearly meets one of WP:MUSIC's criteria (you have saved a copy of your work somewhere, don't you?). I was also impressed with the way you defended your article and stayed cool in what could have become a very heated debate. Thanks for that. Yintaɳ 08:55, 25 April 2009 (UTC)

For staying cool, polite and reasonable when your first article was shot down at AfD. Yintaɳ 08:55, 25 April 2009 (UTC) |
