UnReal world
editIt was deleted as a result of an expired prod (proposed deletion). It was proposed for deletion with the concern "Notability not established since contesting in February". Since it was not contested for five days, as per the prod procedure, I deleted it. --soum talk 12:07, 12 July 2007 (UTC)
- You can do two things now: recreate the article from scratch. Or have the deletion reviewed at WP:DRV where you will have to argue out the merits of discussion. Till a decision is reached, the article will stay deleted. I can also restore the article and list it at WP:AFD where also you will need to present the merits of inclusion. The only difference is that the article stays up till decision is made. Take your pick. :) and all the best with the article. --soum talk 12:38, 12 July 2007 (UTC)
- Well, most probably the issue was brought up in February by adding a {{Notability}} tag. But the concerns werent addressed in the next five months and thats why he proposed it for deletion. --soum talk 13:03, 12 July 2007 (UTC)
But I am a fictional pirate
editI mean I'm not a real pirate but I dress up as weekends. Looks heres photo of me:
Update tag in Pioneer
editI believe (if I am reading the history right) that you added an update tag to the Pioneer Anomaly article? Anything in particular that you'd like to see added? Maury 20:56, 23 July 2007 (UTC)
Ben Gurion Airport on main page
editHi Capuchin- Why did you delete my entry on the main page's talk page? Aren't we supposed to use that page for error discussions? -Eric (talk) 13:24, 24 July 2007 (UTC)
- Okay, and thanks for moving the comment--I figured there was probably a better place for it. -Eric (talk) 13:34, 24 July 2007 (UTC)
Evaunit666
editI saw the note you left me! The whole Mecca notice is pretty old (I keep it up to avoid the riff-raff). So you had something to discuss? I'm all ears! Evaunit666 02:15, 25 July 2007 (UTC)
Still looking for an Adopter?
editHi, I noticed that you have a request for adoption. However, you seem to be an experienced editor already. Are you having any specific problems that I could help you with? Please remove the request from your user page if it's no longer current.--Gimme danger 07:45, 11 August 2007 (UTC)
- {{adoptoffer}} -- because I like templates. --Gimme danger 19:00, 11 August 2007 (UTC)
(Bear) Jaw traps
editI am the person that originally posted the question about the jaw trap. I saw your follow up question and looked some things up on my own. The only thing I could find that mentioned the Jaw traps in 1590 (like from the quote) was this article (see page 3). I added a new quote in the section on animal trapping history. I doubt that jaw traps were first used on people. Most articles just say it was used on large animals, such as foxes. I still can't find when exactly Jaw traps were first created. --Ghostexorcist 03:20, 17 August 2007 (UTC)
Hilarious block message.
editHi, I don't know if you realised this, but you managed to block 70.167.65.144 for a period of "Julius Caesar". Hilarious. Capuchin 13:20, 23 August 2007 (UTC)
- Hi. Hahahaha. Well that sounds like if the vandal was re-running again for the President of Vandals position. I've just seen him back (returning) today. I see now what you are referring to hehehhe (period of Julius Caesar).
- Thanks for the reminder. -- FayssalF - Wiki me up® 15:29, 23 August 2007 (UTC)
Daaaaaang
editA Barnstar Slice | ||
You get this slice of a Barnstar of Good Humor, as part of the group in the RD/M Daaaaaang thread. This is only a symbolic part of the barnstar, the rest of it lies with the other members. lucid 23:33, 5 September 2007 (UTC) |

editHi there! I saw your comment. You're right. When I first started as an admin, I had a different conception of what constituted a first revert. --Chris S. 04:55, 14 September 2007 (UTC)
Bioshock
editI understand my mistake of not putting a reference for the hange, I rectified this the second time. But even in the WIKI article for dystopia it states that Rapture, from Bioshock, is anti-utopian, and even in interviews the makers have said it was anti-utopian. There is no debate on whether Rapture is Dystopian or anti-utopian, they are both distinctly different societies, so there cannot be an OR involved.Antimus 13:02, 19 September 2007 (UTC)
Fair use rationale for Image:Smee boat.gif
editImage:Smee boat.gif is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.
Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

Request to participate in University of Washington survey on tool to quickly understand Wikipedians’ reputations
editHello. I'm part of a research group at the University of Washington. In April, we met with some local Wikipedians to learn what they would like to know about other editors’ history and activities (within Wikipedia) when interacting with them on talk pages. The goal of those sessions was to gather feedback to help design an embedded application that could quickly communicate useful information about other Wikipedians. We have now created a few images that we feel represent some of what our participants thought was important. We would appreciate it if you took a few minutes of your time to complete an online survey that investigates whether or not these images would be useful to you. Your quick contribution would be very valuable to our research group and ultimately to Wikipedia. (When finished, the code for this application will be given over to the Wikipedia community to use and/or adjust as they see fit.)
Willing to spend a few minutes taking our survey? Click this link.
Please feel free to share the link with other Wikipedians. The more feedback, the better! The survey is completely anonymous and takes less than 10 minutes to complete. All data is used for university research purposes only.
Thank you for your time! If you have any questions about our research or research group, please visit our user page. Commprac01 (talk) 21:25, 9 June 2009 (UTC)
